"Nice." Marya kicked the cell door down. "Thanks for the info you just gave."

"Cool," Rhys walked out of the cell, "So, what now?"
"Sorry," Ailith raised her hands, "Didn't realize you were in such a hurry. Normally I wait a day to break folks out."
"If she's alive, they're going to use her as an example. . . " Cal sighed, looking up from the bow he now held. He shuddered at the thought, the scars on his back stinging. They had used him as an example when they killed their father. Nimue and Marya had found him, luckily. A skinny, lanky kid with bleeding wounds on his back.
Ailith turned to the boy, "Follow me. And don't get spotted."
"That works," Rhys followed the girl quietly.
Ailith began to walk towards the north tower.
"You coming? Rhys asked the other girl before following.
“Are we going to get her?” She’s dead, she’s dead, you know she is.
"We have to. I can't leave her behind." Cal replied, looking up at Numie and brushing strands of dark hair out of his face.
“Let’s go, then,” she said, standing up. “Right now.” Who knows whatbthey’ll do?

"I need someone to stay behind and take over for me." He answered, his fingers tracing over the details on his bow.
“You want me to stay,” she said, a statement instead of a question.
"No, no, I need you. You're one of the best fighters I have." Cal replied, his blue eyes serious as he looked down at her.
She smiled faintly. “Any other time and I would’ve been overjoyed to hear that. Who’s going to stay?”
"I can get one of the other warriors to stay," Cal sighed, running a hand through his hair as he thought. A few strands fell across his eyes as he furrowed his brow. "The son of Mulan perhaps. . . "
“Marcus? He’s good with a sword, but I’ve never seen his decision-making skills,” she said, sitting down and letting her wings drape awkwardly over the back of her chair.
Cal sat down across from her, leaning against the chair and draping his arms across the top. He watched her intensely as he thought, a habit he had developed. "Who then?" He finally asked after a long pause.
She thought silently for a moment, eyes flicking around the room. “Nope, no better ideas,” she laughed, leaning back.

"Marcus it is." Cal sighed, motioning towards a guard at the door to go and alert him of it. "We'll leave soon. . . I would get ready now."
(sup)
"I'll be going a different way." Marya explained as little as she could before running off. Her mission had been to capture the king's third-in-command.
He was supposed to be a teenage boy with the name of Felix. She'd never seen him, but she'd studied his movements, what he did, what he ate.
Not even her own teammates had known her mission. No one knew.
Felix would be in a sack before sunrise.
London played cards by himself.
He should be in room 3B right now. Marya crept across the hallway, getting her dart gun ready. One shot of this and he should be out cold. The door opened and she went in.
"I find it amazing that I have my own personal stalker. Are you Lila from my fan club?"
Marya turned to find Felix on the piano stool, getting ready to play. Was this a trick? She'd have to take a bet. "It depends. Are you Felix, third-in-command?"

//yo I’m back
She got up and smiled. “Knowing Marya, she’ll have taken over by the time we get there.” She can’t be dead. Mock-curtsying, she left the room.
A few minutes later, Marcus knocked on the open door and slipped in. “You wanted to see me?” He asked hesitantly.
“I win,” London said, he had beaten a ghost at Speed, again.
