Eighteen years ago, a deadly virus escaped the confines of the World Health Organisation, and killed almost half of Earth's population. After the virus was extinguished and the fear settled into grief, the children of people who caught the virus and overcame it began being born with strange abilities. These abilities ranged from something as simple as not getting burnt easily to being able to wield fire. The end of the virus lead into utter chaos - as governments tried to recover from the effects of the virus, while also trying to set rules in place for the new powers of the coming generation.

All around the world, these powerful children became known as the Super Generation - 力世代, Generación de Fuerza, Génération de Force and सुपर जनरेशन.

Ten years later, the governments of the world have mostly figured it out - and now, eighteen years after the appearance of superpowers - you're about to attend your first day at America's first super school: Imperium Academy for the Extraordinary.

• Swearing's alright, just not in excess
• Romance is definitely allowed!! I love me a good romance - just remember to ask to ship characters!
• Try to make replies easy to respond with - it doesn't have to be long, as long as it doesn't stunt the flow
• Please ask before you join, and I'll read over your character
• This RP's based on people with really strong powers, just try to give them a weakness other than getting tired (this is what the Weaknesses: part of the template is for!). As an example, if they have a mutating quirk, maybe drastically changing themselves rips their skin or if they stay like that for too long they might get stuck.
• Gore is completely fine, especially if it's got something to do with their power weaknesses wink wink (try not to write paragraphs describing it though lol)

We can come up with the plot together, I've got some ideas already but we can throw them around and find out what'll be fun :)

THE SCHOOL
Just some info on the school and how it works :)

Imperium Academy for the Extraordinary is a newly found high school for the Super Generation. The school provides a safe space for students to learn to control their powers and make friends with like-minded people. Grades are segregated by age, and classes are segregated by power strength.

GRADES:
9/Freshman: 15 year olds
10/Sophomore: 16 year olds
11/Junior: 17 year olds
12/Senior: 18 year olds

CLASSES:
There are five classes per grade, formed based on the strength/danger level of the students’ powers.
Class A: The students who’s powers are extremely simple, like a very high IQ or not being able to get sick. Things that are helpful but not really superpowers.
Class B: The students who’s powers aren’t exactly superpowers but are good enough to be considered extremely unique. These are powers like not being able to sustain injury.
Class C: The students who’s powers are quite powerful, but not really dangerous. These powers might include being able to read emotions or heal injuries.
Class D: The students who’s powers are strong enough for the potential of danger or negative side effects. These powers might include telekinesis that becomes harder to control with weight, or mind reading with debilitating migraines after usage.
Class E: The students who’s powers are so insanely strong that the weaknesses that come with them are dangerous. These powers could include any power with very negative side effects or just powers that can easily harm others. As an example, Deku or Eri from My Hero Academia.

~PLOT~

A group of extraordinary students are attending the first boarding school for superpowered people.

Name: Portia Gate
Age: 15
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pan
Appearance: Dark brown hair cut to shoulder level, usually tucked up in a beanie. Almost black eyes, pretty wide set. About 5’6”, fairly stocky, with a respectable amount of muscle
Personality: Portia likes to keep everything in her life neat and orderly, and believes that everything has its place in the world. She enjoys broadening her horizons and learning more about the world around her, and is a bit of an idealist.
Likes: Photography, organization, exploring new places, other people (usually)
Dislikes: Being alone for too long, messy eaters, silence, classic rock
Powers: She has the ability to use doors to teleport, so once she enters a door, she can exit at the location of any other door. Portia calls it teledooring
Weaknesses: Portia has to know the exact location of the door she is exiting, doors have a recharge time before she can use them again (10-30 minutes, usually), and teledooring leads to her having decreased cognitive abilities, such as poor memory and coordination, for a period of time afterwards
Strengths: She has a fantastic memory when it is not interfered with by her powers, and she is quite agile and quick on her feet, both physically and mentally
Class: D
Backstory: I’d prefer to work that out as the roleplay continues, if that’s okay?
Other: She hates how her powers interfere with her brain, as her mind is one of the things she is most proud of, but she loves the freedom her abilities give her, so it’s a love-hate relationship.

Name: Elliot Montes
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual
Appearance: Elliot has deep tan and dark curly hair cut shorter around the sides and long on the top. He has pale green eyes that fade to dark blue around the edge. He's an average height, about 5'7"(174cm), he's pretty thin and lanky. Usually just wears black jeans, t-shirts and sneakers with a variety of different jackets.
Personality: Elliot is too kind for his own good. He'd give all he had for the people he loves if he could. He's confident and makes jokes when he's uncomfortable or in a bad mood. He's not good with people who cry or are injured - he'll just make jokes and offer to heal them, but he does care for them. He's not the best at showing affection.
Likes: jumpers, people, his friends and family, reading, binge watching tv shows with friends, space
Dislikes: people being mean to his friends, bad books, being cold, physics
Powers: Any injuries Elliot gets heal within an hour - no matter how drastic. How long it tales to heal is based on the severity of the injury. If he gets a papercut, it'll be healed almost as quick as he got it, if he gets a cut it'll be healed between 10-30 minutes, depending on depth. If he breaks a bone, it'll take up to an hour, with fractions taking 20-30 minutes, breaks taking 30-50 minutes, and shatters taking an hour. This power on it's own would put him in Class B, but he can also heal others even quicker. With his power, he can heal other people's injuries instantly, leaving them completely unharmed, with only a scar (if the injury can leave one).
Strengths: When he's on an adrenaline rush, his injuries heal even quicker, so when he fights he can quickly recover and keep going. But his main strength is being able to heal others instantly.
Weaknesses: His rapid healing takes a lot of energy from his body, so he needs to eat a lot more than other people to avoid becoming malnutritioned. There's also a price to pay for healing others. This weakness is what landed him in Class D instead of B or C. When he heals someone, he effectively takes their injury from them, leaving himself with that injury. So, if he heals someone else's broken arm, he'll then have a broken arm that his quickened healing doesn't apply to. So healing others leaves him with whatever injury they'd have had to live with. He also can't give the injury back after healing them.
Class: D
Backstory: Elliot was raised by his mother and father, but now only has his mother. She was a doctor who worked to find a cure for the disease early on, and caught it herself. She was on the brink of death, but survived, and a year and a half later had Elliot. They found out about his rapid healing early on, when he'd get hurt and after a few minutes be fine. Then, when he was about 3, she accidentally burnt herself while cooking and he tried to kiss it better, and took the injury from her, leaving nothing but a scar on her hand. What happened with his father will be revealed later.
Other: He needs reading glasses.

Name: Ivy Walker
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Ivy has very pale skin with freckles on her nose, cheeks, and ears; her cheeks and nose are rosy and often make her appear as if she is sick. She’s about 5’6 with a bit thicker thighs and hips. Her hair is a light blonde that almost appears white, it’s long and reaches the end of her back. She usually has it in two braids with pieces pulled out at the sides of her face and bangs that are a bit messy because she cuts them herself. Her eyes are light blue.
Personality: Ivy is very easygoing and a sweetheart. She always tries to see the best in people and truest to make the best out of any situation, Especially since she always seems to find herself in sticky situations. Ivy is over-ambitious and expects too much out of herself constantly and can be a bit sensitive at time, though she tries her best to keep her emotions under control.
Likes: nature, pastel colors, sweets, History, star and cloud gazing, horror movies, snow and rain.
Dislikes: people who are passive aggressive, the color red, when it’s too hot, being late.
Powers: (her original power was a type of healing but since Elliot has that I figured I should give her something different).
Ivy can manipulate any form of water. She can turn it into ice, turn gas into water, etc.
Weaknesses: she can only use her power if there is a water source around for her to use and she has to know where it is. If there’s no water, ice, or vapor, then there’s no powers for ivy. Also, when she uses her powers It makers her super sensitive to the cold and other forces of nature, so there’s higher chances of her getting hypothermia, heat stroke, etc.
Strengths: She’s super empathetic and can almost always tell when someone’s lying. Ivy also knows a lot about nature and water.
Class: D
Backstory: Ivy never new her parents for the most part of her life. When she was two her parents kind of just disappeared, no one knows exactly what happened to them. Some say they died, some say they ran away to a different country, but no one knows. But she was eventually found and was taken by child protective services and put into foster care. From that moment on she kind of Bounced around from family to family and house to house without staying at a place for longer than about 7 months each time. Because of this she has a bit of a problem understanding exactly what it’s like to feel family love, or any type of love at all actually.

Name: Harry Novak
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Chaotic bi
Appearance: Harry is 5'7" with a lanky body which makes people think he's sick or severely underweight. His pale skin shows his veins and makes him look more sickly and almost like a ghost. The only thing that makes him look like he isn't a ghost are his tattoos, piercings, and hair. He has several tattoos covering his body (I'm not going to describe all of them right now, I'm too tired), covering his neck, and forearms. His eyes are a cloudy grey with specks of gold and brown that often look more blue than grey. His neck-length silver lilac hair is usually in a side part or in a messy ponytail. He has several piercing in his ears which are usually covered by his hair, and the only piercing that's really visible is his lip piercing. He has a spider bite piercing with a black ring in both of them.
Personality: Gentle but not willing to let people walk all over him, easily bonds with certain people and helps to protect and support them, always willing to help a friend out, wants to help people but won't if he feels someone is irredeemable, has a deeply set moral code that he refuses to violate, doesn't like to be in the spotlight, follows his heart but always remains cautious and suspicious, secretly a giant softie.
Likes: Music, his friends, playing the guitar, the night sky, his puppy, animals, food, rain, and coffee
Dislikes: Mean or rude people, jerks, the sun (he calls himself a vampire as a joke), math, and spiders
Powers: Hemokinesis
Weaknesses: Harry can't make blood out of no where, he usually has to have an existing source of blood he can use. If there's no source, and he really needs blood, he will usually cut himself, which is why he's covered in cuts. But of course, he can't use up too much blood or else he'd kill himself. He also gets easily tired, considering he already doesn't sleep enough. He's also the type of person not to interfere in battles too much, considering if he wanted to use blood weapons, he would have to use his own blood and the target would have to be within close range. He also can't manipulate fake blood, since it doesn't have the same components as real blood.
Strengths: Harry can manipulate blood (obviously), and use it heal minor injuries, make weapons, or use it as a shield. He also knows a lot about blood, and is usually found in a hospital because he helps by patients by making the blood reach their vital organs, etc.
Class: E
Backstory: He's kind of new and I still haven't figured everything out, so yea, is that okay?.
Other: He has a Shiba Inu named Kai and she's so cute and aaaa

Name: Levi Stone
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Homosexual
Appearance: Levi is bordering 6 feet and has a rather androgynous-looking body. He has shoulder-length, dark hair that often looks purple that is swept to the right. His eyes are shadowed from how tired he is and often red. One is yellow the other is brown. He has a piercing on the lobe of each ear and they are always different than the other. He wears black shirts, ripped blue jeans, and pale pink converse shoes. He always wears long black fingerless gloves. He is covered in scars from all the places he's 'been killed'
Personality: Isn't fazed by much when he knows he has enough energy to survive, but if he's too tired, everything scares him. Most of the time he is just an overtired sad boy. If he gets along with you he will protect you with his life (lives).
Likes: Sleeping, movie marathons, coffee, stealing hoodies, ornately handled knives
Dislikes: Loud noises, dying, being asked if he's okay because "i'M cLeArLy nOt"
Powers: He can't die. He will get up from any fatal wound but he can still feel the injury.
Weaknesses: He can feel any injury and every way he 'dies'. It takes a huge amount of his energy to stay alive and if he runs out he'll pass out from exhaustion and can be killed while unconscious. His power makes him super reckless in any possibly dangerous situation and he can put himself and anyone he is working with at risk. Injuries sustained hurt him more while he tries to sleep so restoring his energy is hard. He can manage to survive once or twice per day with his current energy level, to get more he needs sleep or to train his body to gain energy.
Strengths: He can survive almost anything

Other: Will talk about his deaths casually a lot like "Oh, yeah I've been hit by a car once, I don't recommend it."
