Kayla got worried. “I can heal him father…”
Monty patted her head. “He will be find, don’t waste your energy.”
Monty gained strength and held his swords tight, his green curse eye started reacting to his movements. Not now…

Shaiya looked at Monty.
"Your cursed." she said. Not a question, a statement.

With a wave of his hand his eyes glow white. A cloak appears on him. His energy spikes. "I must be going, if you wish to accompany me, you may"

"As long as I get an explanation for what just happened." She shoved her hands into her pocket, shaking her hair from her eyes.

“What in the world. .”

Kayla ran back to safety. Monty stood there holding his face. Damnit, not now…

He starts to walk, "What you saw, was Elexion. He is my demon half who became an individual after Kai hit me with the Heart. This form you see now prevents him from taking over again."

Jack stops. he turns to Monty, "Are you okay?" he grips his red bladed sword, "I sense trouble in you"

Monty couldn’t pull away his hand. “No… it’s my eye… I had the jewel inside and it made my curse stronger… it turns me into the kitsune, not like I am now, the animal… I can’t control myself in that stage… that’s why Kayla ran, and that’s why I’m hurting…”

Jack pulls out a book, written in another language, "I can put a control spell on you, it won't stop the pain, nor will it stop the transformations. this will simply prolong the effects"

"I know a little about curses. I might be able soften it, if you want. Reduce the amount of pain and time." Shaiya studied him like a piece of prime meat. "I'm usually putting the curses on, but the principle is pretty much the same, only in reverse."

Jack casts a protective shield and expands it, "If I can't help you, I am going to protect everyone else."

Jack couldn't let a man be taken over, he thought for a moment, "Shaiya, what is your spell based off of? Maybe combining the two could enhance the effects. Maybe even stopping the transformation."

"It enhances he natural magic resistance in a creatures body. That's how my curses work. They weaken he body'd magical resistance to almost zero."

"Hmm…" Jack thought for a moment. Jack turned to Shaiya, "Lets try it…on me."

Shaiya smiled.
"With pleasure."
Blue light leaked from the daemon's fingertips. She raised a hand to Jack. "Take my hand."

black and white energy leaked from Jack's hand and arms, "Shaiya, please, I need to know if our magics can coexist. However I am more than willing to hurt myself than hurt another…"

he noticed that she was talking to him. "Sorry, I don't know what came over me." he took her hand.

The girl looked worried.
"If it hurts you, then no." the light started to buck. "I can deal with pain. We'll only do this if you want it." She let the power grow, thick tendrils forming from the light.

He smiles, "I have a little bit more to me than you know." the energy mixed together getting brighter.

"Alright. Let's do this."
