"No problem. How have sales been doing becuase the Instagram I made for this place has been blowing up." He said with a sigh, staring at Xiang for a second before looking down at his phone.
Elliot noticed how his gaze lingered. They cast him a small glare. Don’t misunderstand, Elliot had no feelings for Xiang except respect. But they’d die for him without hesitation.
Xiang practically beams. "The ad was extremely helpful, love. Thank you so much for doing that. More people who need a safe place are coming in every day. It's absolutely wonderful." His eyes practically sparkle with excitement. "Here's your coffee, dearest." He hands Joan the coffee before looking at his watch.
Harper gave a little smile, melting a bit on the inside. He's just… So… Adorable! Was the only thought on Harper's mind as he stared at Xiang. "I.. Er.. N-no problem!"
He smiles. "Thank you again love." He places a gentle hand on Harper's before making a cup of coffee and for a customer. He hums happily as he works, his eyes bright and happy as he does so.
Harper sighed wistfully, looking into his phone and pulling out his earbuds. He might as well try and do some editing for the video he recorded earlier. Try being the key word, he knew he wouldn't get any work done with how much he was staring at the cute, no, handsome cafe owner.
Elliot went back to helping other customers, doing their best to speak loudly enough so people could actually hear them. They spotted several new faces in the cafe today….guess Harper’s post really was helping.
Xiang hummed softly as he served customers, laughing and talking with a few of them, smiling and greeting others like family. Xiang opened this café and he loved it. He glances outside to see a group of teens outside. He walks out into the cold. "May I help you?" He asks kindly. One of the teens growls and looks away. He knew instantly that they weren't here to be kind. "If you're not going to come in, I'd like you to leave please." He says as kindly and as firmly as he could. One mutters something under their breath. "Now." He says sternly. They glare at him, then leave. He sighs and walks back into the cafe..
Joan gratefully sipped her coffee, taking out her phone to try and pass that one level on that one game. "This shouldn't be that hard." She muttered, biting her lip.
Harper stood up, walking over to Xiang and tapping his shoulder. "Are they giving you any trouble?" He asked, his eyes steely. He would not have some idiots bother his crush friend.
"They've left. For now." Xiang sighs deeply. "Ever since I opened this café a lot of people like to stare. It makes my customers on edge and nervous." He glances at Harper and smiles warmly. "Thank you for your concern, love." He pats his shoulder before walking towards the center of the cafe. "Due to Valentine's coming so close, I would like to announce that this café will be hosting a dance and meet and greet. Tickets are only five dollars! Bring a loved one or get to know others around you!" He says cheerfully.
"Are you sure…" Harper trialed off, giving a small glance to the window where the kids were before. He shook his head, waving off any doubts, going to sit at the table closest to where Xiang usually worked.
Xiang gets back to work, humming happily with content. He loved this. He loved this. The customers. The warm vibe the café gave off. The wonderful people surrounding him. He moved his hips as he worked, feeling rather pleased today.

((Those songs totally weren’t my childhood.
Elliot was constantly rushing around the cafe, humming quietly as they did so. Xiang’s good mood really was contagious.
Joan smiled, finally beating the level. "Hey, kinda random, but how the hell do you talk to a crush? Cause I might have someone to take to the dance meet and greet thingy." ((I GOT SOME ANGST TOO Y'ALL))
“Ooh a crush huh?” Elliot smiled “well kiddo just talk to them I guess. Be honest, tell them how you feel.”
(What is this angst? Is curious)
Xiang smiles warmly. "Love. When it comes to crushes, tell them how you feel, be honest about it and be you. Trust me. You're significant other will appreciate it." He chuckles and pats her shoulder gently before handing a drink to a customer.
