Barkeep, not knowing how to reply to the hand gesture, placed her drink in front of her. "I go by Barkeep around these parts as to not stir confusion. As for the interdimensional travel, it's kinda my specialty. I've never been to Althalos but I've almost certainly passed by."

She took her drink, too distracted to notice that he did not reply to her gesture. “Really? What do you remember about it?”

@CasiCasino group

”You know how the Multiverse works better than I do. Most of the officers working there aren’t passionate about their work and don’t realize how important their jobs are” Matthew agreed with the statement fully.
It was true. A majority of the Knights in the Labyrinth work more than just as a Knight and there has never been such a thing as major criticism to most of them.

Barkeep refilled Hinata's glass and continued talking to Gaudari. "Very little. I pass by many places but I remember Althalos because it's in a world on the way to Kelta, a steampunk era world where I spend a lot of time."

“How interesting. Do visit if you get the inclination.”

"Well if I had not allowed him to abide within me, he would have died. If an abidance demon can not find a host they will die in one hour. I could not just let him die," Kye explained.

At this the demon gave a genuine smile. One that was softer in nature rather than his usual shit-eating grin. "That's one of the sweetest fuckin' things I've ever heard," Axtin stated. He wished more people were like Kye. Then again, there weren't any with how his universe was. They died out ages ago. He knew a few personally.

@Echo_6 group

Kye smiled and kind of looked down. "Yeah well… Someone has to be nice otherwise we will all be trapped within our own little circles of hatred. I believe we all have the ability to be nice, just not everyone chooses to do the nice thing. They believe that it will make them look weak. They do not understand that it is harder to be nice than it is to be a dirtbag."
As he spoke a translucent purple tinted figure appeared next to him. "And yet, for some reason you can still get into a fight with someone, all by saying like four things."

@Painted-Iris group

Axtin couldn't help but snicker at the rebuttal the other demon made. He stopped himself, looking over the new figure before him. A sad smile crossed his lips for a moment before he gave a small nod. "Lovely to finally meet you," he said politely.

@Echo_6 group

"Good evening, or morning, or afternoon, or night, or whatever time of day it is currently," the demon gave a slight bow to Axtin. "If you must know something to call me, this one has been calling me Gelion."

@Painted-Iris group

"I honestly don't have a clue either," Axtin commented with a shrug. "It's good that you told me, otherwise I might have had to create a nickname for you off the top of my head," the demon added with a chuckle.

@Echo_6 group

"Yeah sure whatever," Gelion rolled his eyes. Kye's head snapped over to Gelion, a glare in his eyes.
"You know I would be less likely to get into fights with people trying to kill me if you were not so rude," Kye snapped at his companion, before turning back to Axtin. "I do apologize, he is not the nicest being out there. I really think he means well, he just is not the best at communicating so he chooses to be a jerk instead."
"And yet I still have more friends than you do," Gelion muttered.

Jakubiak was sure to write the details down carefully, glancing back over what he had written once the one who called himself Ichika finished his explanation. He gave a slight nod, more to himself, eyes looking over the page. The Heavens and Hells, suppose different worlds had them. Needed some way to care for the deceased souls. Though Jakubiak would have never thought anything of 'contracts' being made amongst such beings. Gods and Goddesses did not seem to really have a need for such things, well, back in his world that is.
"Mm, interesting indeed. Zo, I can zee why one could receive zuch hate. Tis, I am assuming, one of your loyal Knights duty to ferry ze dead to ze other zide. Much like ze reaper dragons back home. Zey, lead by the God of Death's loyal zervant, Quietus, zeek the zouls of ze ones whom have either fallen in battle, or other causes. More likely for fallen warriors zo to be reborn as Holy Dragons."
Holy Dragons, the closest to the gods and goddesses. Living amongst them within the higher realms. What would indeed be called a 'heaven' of sorts. Most holy dragons resided within the walls of the City of Imperos.
The male paused for a moment, lightly tapping his finger on his knee, letting the information digest in his mind. His eyes narrowed, looking back to the other things he ne-…would like answers to. Just to decide which would be next to ask, without seeming too nosey. Jakubiak didn't want to drive of the other, genuinely only wanting to learn more.
"You mentioned zomething of you being a Draconian Phantom hybrid? My thought initially vent to a Dragonian, zo you do not hold any of ze features. Ze other that came to mind is a Dragonkin…I think ze main thing throwing me is you zay 'phantom', less you mean perhaps a type of dragon or human?"

@CasiCasino group

Ichika giggled a bit, as if he knew that this fellow was going to ask him that exact question.
”I’ll need to retrace back on that a bit. Back when I was still a pure Draconian, I lacked some features which would make me completed so to say. My wings were crooked, my tail was curled up and uneven, my eyes were unnaturally round compared to other Draconians… and then death came around, swept me off my feet and sent me straight to the Soul Labyrinth I talked about—“ the man paused to take a breather.
”—and after living there peacefully for a year or something, I was offered the opportunity to ‘complete’ myself with the exchange that I’d become a Knight of the Labyrinth. By me taking that offer, it added a ‘contamination’ into my blood, making me a ‘Phantom’ by default. During that process, I was also able to take on an actual draconic form for the first time ever… even though I can only do it for half an hour at most. The Prince was the one who offered me the choice to change, obviously he was going to give me something great. Another thing is that I can sprout my wings, change my irises, reveal my scales, tail, and horns all at my will” the man explained, taking another sip of the brewed drink in front of him.

@CasiCasino group

Matthew nodded in pure agreement.
”You said earlier that you didn’t have the time to look into the case, right?” he asked Hinata again. It was just to make sure if he had to call it to him or not.

"And yet I still have more friends than you do," Gelion muttered.

The demon shrugged. "It isn't that bad considering all things," he said calmly. He looked at Gelion a moment longer. "All if not most of your kind are dead where I come from," he stated sadly.

@Echo_6 group

"Most of my kind are dead everywhere," Gelion retorted, earning him another sharp look from Kye. In response he gave a sigh and shook his head. "People started just not being as kind and without hosts my kind died out almost to extinction. As a matter of fact I believe there are only two left on my world. Myself included. I was lucky to find Kye when I did."

Matthew nodded in pure agreement.
”You said earlier that you didn’t have the time to look into the case, right?” he asked Hinata again. It was just to make sure if he had to call it to him or not.

"Yeah," Hinata nodded. "I've had a lot of jobs to do this past few weeks, and it's really time consuming."

@CasiCasino group

Matthew smiled a bit.
”You must be tired… maybe you should take a rest once in a while…” he said in a worried yet warm tone.
”Anyways—“ he reached up to tap on his earpiece as the sounds of engines roar from outside the tavern. A small helicopter flew into the tavern via one of the the windows. It soon flew towards Matt before shifting back into its actual form; a parrot. With it, the parrot held a document which would most likely be heavier than its entire mass.
”—here are the files of all the fourteen escapists. Those are everything we can gather as of for now” Matthew said, sliding the document to Hinata then patting the parrot’s head.
”Good boy”

@CasiCasino group

Matthew smiled and sighed.
”It’s just work and uh—“ the parrot flew from Matthew’s shoulder to the Barkeep’s head and sat their, puffing up in its feathers ”—anything sweet would do”

She picked some mango from behind the counter and held it above her head, cooing. "What's their name. I've got a few birds myself but none of them are parrots." Barkeep had an automaton owl named Brass, two Lahore pigeons named Dumpling and Sailor, a chicken named Nugget, and a Kiwi bird named Magpie. She had many other pets as well scattered across the worlds.

@CasiCasino group

”Oh, I call him… uh—“ Matthew glanced at Hinata a bit first before continuing ”—Cab” the man held in a small laughter. It was true, he called that small bird, ‘Cab’.

The parrot screeched a little before he started gnawing on the mango delightfully. The black and white striped parrot looked like a small hat on the Barkeep.

"Well damn. I would apologize for the loss, but it really doesn't seem like I should based on how pissed you are," the male stated. He took a breath before taking a sip of his liquor again. "But from my perspective… I'd agree that you are indeed lucky."
