Kate pulled her lunch out of her locker and headed off to find Jay.

Jay sat down in the library and started reading a book.

¨I told your parents I´d stay away from you¨ she said.

"they don't believe you, I don't believe you, so stop lying. plus, even if you try to stay away, I have said nothing about doing the same."

Vanessa sighed " I love you brink I really do but I am not gonna cause any more trouble for your family" she said.

Kate strode past the library and happened to glance in. She stopped short, then walked through the doors. She walked right over and sat down beside him quietly.

"hey." He says without looking up.

"Hi," she replied. She pulled out her phone and dialed a number.

He nodded then continued reading.

Vanessa sighed as she walked over to brink

He nodded then continued reading.

"Hello? Is this–…… Yes, this is she." There was a long pause. "Alright, thank you." Kate hung up and sighed. She shook her head. "Still nothing about Mom. The doctors think that something is really wrong." Her voice cracked.

"want to go there? If you don't have a car you could use mine." Jay said and looked up.

Kate shook her head and wiped fiercely at her face. She wasn't going to cry. "No, it's fine."

Jay pulled out his keys and put them on the table. "If you want to go see her go."

Kate looked at the keys, then him. She took the keys and slid them into his pocket. "Don't tempt me," she muttered, only half joking.

"take the damn keys." Jay said putting them in front of her. "I shouldn't be driving anyway"

"I don't want the damn keys," she replied, arching her eyebrows and putting the keys back.

"I was told that as long as I had this cast over my leg I'm legally not allowed to drive." Jay said and gave her the keys.

Kate pressed her lips together. "I don't want your car keys, Jay…"

"well do you have a car with you?"

She frowned. He knew hers had been totaled in the crash.

He handed her the keys again.

"Fine," she muttered, putting them in her pocket.

"now go see your mom. Lunch is a half hour and you have 25 minutes left." Jay said to her.

Brink glaced over at her " so how was hanging out with Samuel yesterday?"

Vanessa sighed " I made a deal with her I didn't have to be with Samuel if I joined the leapords" the leapords a fighting game that Catwoman was is every Friday didn't meet up at the arena and battle on the worst of worst.
