So I had an idea for a thing.
It's a world where vampires rule, and humans are treated as lower class. Every year, to keep the humans in line, a member from each of the vampire nobility families nominates to participate in The Hunt. The Hunt is where vampires and humans are locked in an arena (designed like a small city), and the vampires hunt the humans. Humans are chosen randomly and must participate if chosen. If the humans are caught, they are turned into vampires and help to hunt the remaining humans.
Any of the humans who manage to survive for 48 hours are granted sanctuary and are given the same status as vampires, allowing them to live a safe life.

- 5 or 6 vampires
- 5 or 6 humans (can have magical ability, but please no Mary Sues)

Appearance: Short brown hair, grey eyes, petite figure, has rune tattoos on arms and legs (that only appear when they're being used)
Powers/skills/abilities: Runecasting: drawing runes onto objects, self, or drawing them in the air to do different things. Normally, when someone Runecasts, they say a word to strengthen the rune, but because Ianthe can't talk, she has weaker runes.
Personality type: Small and shy, but is confident once you get to know her
Motivations: Not dying, keeping her rune book safe, helping others where she can

Other: As mentioned earlier, she can't speak. She is a Hufflepuff ))

Name: Sosdovah
Species: Dracopyre (Cross of a dragonkin and vampire)
Age: Appears to be in his mid 20's, exact age he is somewhere in his 900's

Powers/skills/abilities: From his dragonkin side, Sos has the ability to control flames. Also can shift to a full dragon form, albeit slightly smaller and weaker than his parent dragon from his dragonkin blood.
From his vampire side, Sos has gained the ability to control shadows to some degree. He can create shadowy tendrils to snare his victims. Also shadowjump, allowing him to seemingly teleport from shadow to shadow. However this only works with present shadows. Light renders the shadowjump useless
Personality type: Cunning and devious, has a sarcastic streak
Motivations: Willing to do what he must to keep his Clan feared by all.
Backstory: One of the younger members from his clan, Sosdovah has sworn his loyalty to his kind. As the Dracopyres, Sos knows his kind are well revered as well as feared. For to have the power of both a dragon and a vampire, it is no wonder his clan's name causes the other vampires to tremble in fear.
Though, as every year comes, a young dracopyre is selected from the clan to join 'The Hunt'. As now, Sosdovah was the lucky one chosen.
Other: As a Dracopyre, Sos dislikes any other vampire, other than the other Dracopyres in his Clan. Best to always watch your back with him, even if you are a fellow vamp

Powers/skills/abilities: general assassin skills and such (minus the stealth part, he isn't great at that part) Talking to people and persuasion (when he wants to) anything that evolves hands on work
Personality type: kinda the loner type of guy and doesn't have many friends
Motivations: Keeping himself alive
Backstory: Thranion went through a lot of heart break in his younger years, losing his family and younger sister which he had sworn to protect until his last breath. This caused him to being very closed off and reserved to avoid hurting himself further (which failed)
This year, he was chosen to participate in The Hunt and honestly doesn't care that much as life couldn't get worse for him.

Species: Sirenian Vampire
Age: Looks to be in his mid-twenties
Gender: Male
Appearance: Brown hair with blond highlights from the sun frame his slightly sunburnt skin, skin that is covered with freckles. He has reddish-violet eyes and a tall lithe frame, probably helping with how graceful his movements are.
Powers/skills/abilities: He can go out in the sun, he actually prefers it, and he has sound manipulation, voice hypnotism, slight blood control and a bit of hydrokinesis.
Personality type: Sym is a charmer who is artistic and creative, he enjoys drawing and dancing really anything artistic. He is usually cheerful and loves puns, he almost never sits still. He is deathly afraid of small spaces due to a traumatic event that happened earlier in his life. He is often thought of as an idiot or a background character and keeps getting underestimated (He hates it) because of his bubbly personality
Motivations: Keeping himself alive and safe, any others come second. He feels that if they wanted to stay alive they should have tried harder.
Name: Kailani Agoesti
Species: Human
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Appearance: Olive-brown skin and long dark brown hair (Which will be cut before the hunt). Her eyes are yellowish green and narrow. She is a fighter and a runner, so her form is lithe and slightly muscled. She is moderately tall at 5'8"
Powers/skills/abilities: She is a strategist, always observing her surroundings and looking for potential weapons. She has what her people call, "Night Seeing", just night vision. She is very skilled with weapons.
Personality type: She is strong willed and rough about the edges. Try as she may, it is hard to be anything but firm, it makes her a very hard person to like. She does not mind being alone.
Motivations: She has to be a symbol, a symbol of hope for her people. If she doesn't make it, then she will put up the greatest fight imaginable.
Backstory: Her father was the last general of the humans, the last fighter that they had. She is held to high standards by the people as the last daughter of Draänco Agoesti. The rest of her siblings have failed and were murdered or turned.
