Drew hugged the shivering boy, rubbing one hand up and down his arm and the other on his back, trying to create friction to potentially warm him. He, additionally, reached over, grabbed his black, worn leather jacket from the chair and wrapped it around Jay. "Kid, you need some sleep. That's what will make you warm. Sleep helps with getting over things like this. I'll see if I can get you some sort of soup or something…" He stood up, then looked around the room, seeing the blankets on the unused cots. He grabbed them all and wrapped them all around Jay, causing him to look like a little uncut sushi roll. Drew ran his hand through his hair, anxiously. God, I know how to deal with wounds and panic attacks… but I'm just downright sh*tty when it comes to things like illnesses "I'll… I'll…" The usually well spoken man could barely come up with anything to do or say. "I'll go see if I can get you some soup… I'll be back…" He slowly backed out of the room, feeling the most anxiety that he's felt in a while. He liked this kid a lot. Jay reminded him of himself when he was younger. He didn't want to see the boy end up like he did. Homeless, hated, and outlawed. Drew wants to see him wind up better than he did. So much better. Drew was set out to make sure this boy got what he deserved [in Drew's opinion, that was nothing but the best] and, in the process, possibly redeem himself for all that he has done…
(Hello?)
(hi sorry this thing took a while to write XD)
Jay watched as Drew left, unable to move much due to the blankets. He couldn't remember whether he had ever had soup before, and guessed at the answer of probably not. Even with all the blankets, he still shivered slightly. His heart monitor showed that his heart rate was very slow, and Jay felt exhausted. This 'fever' that everyone was telling him he had was really draining his energy. Although it seemed to be some sort of illness, or side effect of one, he didn't really feel sick for the time being.

(if you f*cking kill my child I will murder you ب_ب (ง'̀-'́)ง)
(He'll be aight. He won't die at least, I torture characters, not kill them. Excluding Lloyd. Lloyd was literally created to be the dead older brother of the mc but then I gave him more development. Still dead tho)
Drew literally ran downtown. He got to a place, when he realized he didn't need to buy anything… In all his anxiety, he forgot about his ability. He mentally slapped himself as well as verbally cursing. He sprinted back up to Jay's room, and summoned some soup. Once the soup was there he fed it to Jay until the bowl was drained. He then sat on the edge of the bed with his face in his hands. He needed Bridgett. That girl always knew what to do…

(HAHAHA ME TOO ALL MY CHARACTERS. Theres this one thread on here that is called "introduce your characters" and I posted something about how I physically tortured one character three separate times. XD. whoops ¯\_ (ツ) _/¯ )
Jay was hardly awake at this point, but he was fighting for consciousness. He didn't want to sleep again; he had already slept what he would consider a lot recently, but he was used to getting by on just an hour or two a night. "Y-You okay, Drew?" Jay asked, his voice cracked and slightly hoarse.

"Ugh this is ridiculous. I'm getting a doctor in here NOW." Allison shouted. "Why Drew left to get you soup is beyond me, but Jay, listen to me and listen well. DO NOT FALL ASLEEP! Your body requires you to be awake before it can get any progress made on fixing you. If you do fall asleep, chances are the doctors will just declare you dead when they see you. Stay awake! I am getting the doctor." and with that, she left the room.
Drew was so focused on his anxiety that he forgot why he was having the anxiety to begin with. He heard the little boy's voice and he put on a facade of calm, collected, and cool like he usually did. He looked up at Jay and smiled a little.
"Don't worry about me, kiddo." He ruffled the Jay's hair lightly, but playfully. "I just have a slight headache. I'll be okay."
I won't be okay. I need to make sure this kid gets better. I won't be fully okay, until he's okay… I don't want him to see the demons I hide….

(drew is panicking. Bridgett calms him down, for some reason unbeknownst to him. XD)
(also LIKE HOW MUCH IM UP-PLAYING DRIDGETT????????????? lmao)
Jay nodded and forced himself to stay awake. His heart rate kept getting slower and slower, well below a generally considered 'safe' resting heart rate. However, he hadn't fallen asleep yet. It felt to him that he was boiling hot, but he was freezing because of the drastic difference between his body temperature and the room's temperature.

(Since Bri isn't here, I'll be doctor momentarily until she gets back.)
Allison found the doctor and they both barged into the room. The doctor quickly looked at Jay, and called the OR (Operating Room) and scheduled a surgery. The doctor then looked at Drew and Kam and said, "You two need to back away immediately. By being anywhere near the boy, you are risking infecting him further and his immune system won't take any more of it." before taking Jay and his bed out of the room. Allison followed them and they arrived soon at the operating room.
"Jay, looks like I'll need your consent to do this surgery. If you do not get this surgery now, you will more than likely die within the next two hours. If you do, then we can not only fix the fever but your immune system as well." the doctor said as the other doctors and nurses in the room prepared to operate. Allison was in the operating theater observing everything from above.
Drew watched as Allison slammed the door with a raised eyebrow. He took a small, almost unnoticeable deep breath in an attempt to calm himself. He looked at the kid next to him and winked, giving him a little, dorky half smile.
"Er, o-okay… sure…" Jay said drowsily, looking up at all the doctors surrounding him. "What's wrong with me? Why's it so cold in here? Did you guys turn down the temperature or something?" The fever seemed to be getting worse, and Jay was gradually getting a tad delirious.

Drew had his eyes wide as he backed away. He stood next to Allison, pulse racing. He could only hear the thumping of his heart and the beeping of the monitor in his ears. He held onto that facade of calm and collected as he watched the boy he's become so fond of get rushed away to the OR. He kept his eyes chained to the door Jay just was wheeled out of. He didn't even look at Allison when he told her he was going to go get Bridgett. He had a steal, almost emotionless expression as he walked briskly off. As soon as he left the building he started to shake uncontrollably. He walked faster and faster to the library, praying to God that Jay would be alright…
(AHHHHHHHHHHHHH IM SORRY I GTG AGAIN. ILL BE BACK AS SOON AS I CANNNNNNN IM SORRYYYYYYYYYY)

"No, the temperature has stayed the same, and your body is losing heat exponentially. Put him under." the doctor ordered, as another nurse put a mask on Jay's face. With him already being as tired as he was, it was more than likely enough to knock him out.
"We have two hours to complete a half hour operation. Be careful with this one. We need to clear the fever and fix his immune system." the doctor said as they began to put anesthetic on where they would begin to open him up. "The lung was fixed earlier. I'm surprised they didn't notice this in the scans. His spleen is quite damaged, we may need a new one. Call the organ bank see if we can get one down." they said as a nurse left the room coming back moments later with a cooler.
Allison could see Drew getting stressed. "Easy man. Calm yourself. They seem to know what they're doing. If they don't, I'll break the glass and do it myself." she said, looking at him and smiling, before going back to looking at the operation. Humans are disgusting. Look at all that red stuff inside of them, ew. she thought to herself. However, the operation was finished soon enough as the doctors left the room and left Jay asleep. He was put back together and Allison went down and asked. "How long until he wakes up?"
"Judging by how easy he was knocked out, probably not till later tonight." the doctor said before his pager beeped. "Another patient, sorry. His recovery should be quick."
(Should we time skip or wait for Dridgett?)

(question, how do you upload a profile picture??)
(Should we time skip or wait for Dridgett?)
(We could time skip and all be back at the library? Thats my opinion, though. Also, I think you have to have an image set on the email you used..)
