"As can I," Ashley offered. Yes, the humans know of her, and occasionally pray to her, but never has she appeared in open publicness, for the animals are much better company. "After all, I do also look normal for the most part."

"I don't think we should have a group much larger than four. Since I proposed the small group idea, I would like to go as well, unless anyone opposes," Diara signed, looking around at the other gods. Magic, animals, darkness, and death, that would be an interesting group, He thought.
"I have a small bookshop in D.C, so if any of you need to talk to be, I'll be there. I need to do more research." Duality said, fingers tapping on the arm of their chair.
“I do not need to go,” Xia said, tapping her fingers against the arm of her chair. “I don’t often interact with mortals anyways. But I will be watching, and can provide assistance if needed.”
Thea looked mildly annoyed as the other gods continued discussing. "I'll be around." She muttered vaguely, turning her face towards the large windows around the room, her hands clenched into fists on the arms of her chair. "If that's all…? I have business to take care of."
"Well, when would we be going?" Ashley inquired, looking at Diara.
"I would hope as soon as possible. Since all we're doing is investigating, I think we won't need much more than money, so if we get that we can probably leave now unless anyone has anything else they would like to bring," Diara signed in response. He looked down at what he was wearing. A leather jacket, navy blue shirt, jeans, and converse. Good enough, He thought.
Kos was silent. His suit would work just fine in the streets of DC. Which was good, as he didn't have a change of clothes with him. He blinked, concentrating, and the starry lights in his hair winked out, leaving his hair simply a coal black.
"I'll be in the bookshop and you all can have keys, there's money in the cash register if any of you need to buy things." Duality said, sliding five keys onto the table then vanishing with a snap.
"Alright," Ashley managed and took the nearest key. She silently looked at herself, from the inside out. She was dressed normal enough, she deemed, to not make any changes. Sure, she would attract some attention, but she was fine with that.
“I’ll see you around,” Xia said with a wave of her fingers. She changed into nothing but wind and flew out of the room, leaving a wintery chill behind.
Standing, Thea stretched, her clothes shifting from her usual amazonian armor to a more human-appropriate outfit. She scooped up a key and vanished with another smack crackle in the air.
Kos grabbed a key, and vanished in a puff of shadow, silent. He would meet the others in DC.
Ashley just stood up, and slid down into the floor, appearing in DC. This would be her first time interacting with humans.
Diara pushed off from his chair and into DC. Looking around him, he saw the other gods. They were standing in front of a bus station, waiting for the last of the group to appear.
Kos arrived, his hair still an inky black and his eyes the color of onyx. He had traded his suit for slightly more casual clothes.
Avalon jumped from her chair, eyes closed in focus, and landing on her feet, dress shortened to more of a sundress, combat boots over her feet, hair falling down her back. "Are we ready?" She asked, giggling a bit at the slight adrenaline rush.
"Ready as ever!" Ashley replied. In order to hide her true nature, she had decided that she would use the plain name, Lily as sort of a codename.
"We should be. Let's go get money," Diara signed, beginning to walk towards the bookstore.
Kos nodded, and followed Diara. His inky black hair flickered with starlight for a moment, then went back to a plain black.
"Alright," Ashley responded, following Diara, looking around at all the humans. She had never seen so many humans in one place before, it was quite fascinating, actually.
Avalon walked after them, looking around casually. It wasn't anything she was really not used too, she ever spotted one or two people who watched her do magic ticks in a park. She smiled softly, fighting the temptation to do something.
The humans were giving the group only a few glances. Good. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves. But I should probably make a fake name for myself just in case. They continued walking until they reached the shop. Diara pulled a key out of his pocket and unlocked the door, then moved to the side to let the others enter.
Ashley gave Diara a grateful smile and walked in the shop.
Duality was sitting in a chair at the front desk. "Hm, money?" They asked, holding up wallets for each of them.
