Cammie walked into her room with her bags and saw that there was already a person in the room. "Um hi." She made her presence aware.
(Hello?)
(If you're interested, you guys should go check out the RP The Brotherhood- Supernatural council…)
(Anyone here?)
(If you'd like, he could go up to my character, Maeve. She's on an empty seat.)
Dalton walked down the rows and rows of seats in search for an empty one until he eventually found one. "Hello," He smiled at the girl seated there, "Mind if I sit by you?"
River left her room and walked up to a pair and intro diced herself “Hey, I’m river what’s up?” She asked
"Oh… Uh, sure." Maeve scooted closer to the edge, even though there was plenty enough room. This was a chance at her to make an acquaintance, finally.
Dalton sat down and readjusted his tie. "My name is Dalton Lockwood," He said extending a hand to her.
Shaking the hand, she hoped it wasn't clammy. That'd be awkward. "Maeve Sullivan," she smiled at the suited man.
"Good to make your acquaintance," He smiled sitting up with near-perfect posture. He still hadn't let go of how he was raised. He came from a rich family that valued manners over their own children.
Maeve bit her lip, before replying, "Yours as well." Glancing at the man next to her, she couldn't help but notice his practically perfect posture. While she slouched.
"So, why are you here? If you don't mind me asking."
"My family forced me into it. I guess I was too introverted for their tastes. You?" Pulling a pen out of her pocket, she began flicking the cap on and off.
River stood close by and listened to them talk
Dalton sat up a little straighter, as if it was possible, "My family doesn't approve of -ummm- me I suppose."
River left her room and walked up to a pair and intro diced herself “Hey, I’m river what’s up?” She asked
(Was this for us???)
At this, Maeve blinked. "But… I mean you're an adult, aren't you? You look like one, or… At least older than me. Why would they still demand influence over you?" She took the suit into consideration, and it clicked. "…Oh."
"They have values; rules that they expect you to follow, fail to do so and you don't get your share of the inheritance." Dalton let his posture slip and he slouched a bit, "I never cared about the money, I just wanted a family. Besides I broke one of their biggest values to they told me off."
Maeve didn't ask what value he broke. "And now that you have been told off, you shouldn't let them still control your life. If you want to do something they would have never allowed you to do, do it. You have all the time in the world." She spoke, pausing in her pen cap flicking for the moment.
"It's not how I was raised, I can't rebel now it makes me feel guilty," he said regaining his posture.
Shrugging, Maeve told him, "I'm not going to push you to do anything. If you want to do that, it's fine with me." Noticing for the first time her empty stomach, she asked him, "Are you hungry?"
Dalton smiled, "I usually always am," he responded leaning back and loosening his tie, he already felt like he had done something wrong.
