"I've been stabbed by my own mother I don't trust a lot of people but if you think it'll be easier you can do it" she said
"I've been stabbed by my own mother I don't trust a lot of people but if you think it'll be easier you can do it" she said
She shook her head "If you feel more comfortable with him, we'll wait until he gets back." she set the knife down "sorry for scaring you, I didn't know that happened."
"it's fine no one has ever really loved me so being stabbed isn't anything" she said
She frowned softly, the expression looking foreign on her features. "well, now someone does love you."
She shrugged closing her eyes
"I wouldn't take that for granted Ness." she stood with the rest of the bandages and cotton balls and left her to rest.
She say down and sighed later that night it was storming horribly and brink still wasn't back and there was thunder and Vanessa was afraid of thunder so she was on the couch curled up with a blanket trembling terribly
Brink had stayed out well into the night, running along roof tops and visiting with old allies and friends asking for advise and chatting with them for a while. Late that night he stepped out into the rain, letting the cool rain splash on his form as he walked through the streets. The lightning illuminating features in bright whites and purples. He had always loved thunderstorms, their chaotic nature and sparatic bursts of thunder and lightning always sent a jolt through his body. He had always wondered what it would be like if he were struck by lightning. Shrugging, he opened the door to his home and pulled off the wet jacket, hanging it on a hook to let dry. he glanced down on the couch and rested his hand on Vanessa's head. "just a little rain kitty cat." he said softly, pushing his wet hair back from his face
She jumped as she felt someone touch her
Brink chuckled softly "Sorry kitty cat, i didn't mean to scare you." He settled next to her on the couch and pulled her into his lap.
She handed him a switchblade and flipped her hair over her shoulder to reveal her neck
Brink tilted his head and arched an eyebrow "Kitty cat, I'm all for twisted games but usually not with those I love."
"there's a tracking device in my neck I need you to cut it out" she said
His eyes widened slightly and he gently nudged her off "This would have been something great to mention before, cat." He flicked on the lights and gather some more supplies.
"well I was planning on leaving"
He stopped and looked at her, heart breaking slightly "why?" he asked softly, forcing himself to move and sit beside her.
"because everywhere I go everyone I meet I cause them pain I don't want to cause pain I don't like pain at all I don't know maybe I deserve to be locked up" she said
He sighed softly and shook his head. "No kitty cat, please don't say that." he hugged her close to his chest, "no one deserves to be in there." he pressed his lip to her temple and hugged her tight
She sighed and closed her eyes
He let her go after a few moments and gently pushed her hair away from her neck "do want to sleep for this?"
She shook her head "No'
"it's going to hurt." he warned softly
"I know it doesn't matter' she said
he sighed softly and nodded, nudging her up so that he could work. "do you know where it is?"
"Deep back in my neck" she said
