She smiled and began walking to the door

Brink emerged from the kitchen covered in flour. “Dad dropped the bag again.”

"you know I'd kiss you goodbye but your kindve of flowery right now" she said

He pouted but nodded “fine, but you owe me later.” He smiled and went back to the kitchen

Vanessa smiled in left the house she made it to town and got herself a sandwich and Brink his chicken nuggets and she had returned to the house quickly walking in quietly and closing the door behind her

“JACKLYNNE QUINN I SEAR TO CHAOS IF YOU THOW THA-“ laughter could be heard from the kitchen right before a muffled yell “BRINK NO MY HAIR!”

Vanessa had gotten into a bit of a fight with the oldest son and the first son of Batman AKA Bruce Wayne so her knuckles were busted and so is her lip she put the bag that had her boyfriend's chicken nuggets in it on the table

Brink poked his head out from the kitchen and frowned slightly “kitty cat what happened?” He asked, dusting off more flour and walking over to her

"had a cat fight with a bat"she said

Brink sighed softly, casting his eyes down so she wouldn’t see the shift in color. He took her hands gently and pulled her to the kitchen where Jacks was cleaning up the mess they’d made. “Jacks mind grabbing the bandages, some acetone and cotton balls.”

"I'm fine brink don't worry about me" she said

“Too late.” He replied, sitting beside her and taking her hand gently, dabbing at the wound with a cotton ball soaked in acetone

She closed her eyes "Brink I'm fine " she said

“I wouldn’t consider this fine, cat. Who did this to you anyways?” He asked, not looking up from his work

"Benjamin" she said with a sigh

Brink rolled his eyes and shook his head “when will that kid ever learn.” He growled softly, wrapping her hand in the bandage

She sighed, closing her eyes before looking into his eyes"hey I'm okay" she said

“Yeah, but will you be alright next time?” He asked, standing and pacing the room, not being able to sit still for long. “Jacks, would you mind please? I need to go out.”

Vanessa hopped of the counter pushing past him she made her way to the door

Brink grabbed his jacket and glared at Vanessa “kitty you’re not stopping me.”

"where are you going? " She asked

“Out.” He replied simply, pulling his hood on

"Brink please don't go after him" she said tears welling up in her eyes "please" she begged. Benjamin was her brother but he had been drunk and got in a fight with her "Just stay here please" she said a tear rolling down her cheek now she hated all her family even Benjamin but she had fought him countless times and she couldn't she wouldn't let brink go besides this man had sent her to the ER

He stepped up to her and gently wiped away her tears with his hand. "I'm not going after him now, cat. I just need some time to calm down before i break something." he explained softly, pressing a kiss to her head and gently nudging past her

She sniffled ßns and walked past her up the stairs
