Kameo nodded. "Of course."

“You- you are?”, she stammered uncertainly, still hiding her face. Her heart was pounding.

Lucian shrugged his shoulders. “Of course. You are a very wonderful woman, though you don’t really see it..” he said, moving her hands so he could see her face better.

"Right, last card." He flipped down one last card in the center. "Let's see your cards."

Her cheeks reddened even more. “Th— thank you.”, she squeaked.

"Royal flush." Kameo laid down his cards, a bit proud.

"Oooh," Daso said appreciatively. "Captain?"

"Four of a kind." She sighed, setting it down.

"Aw. Sorry, cap. You're still a winner to me." He grinned sweetly.

"Thanks, Daso." She winked at him and turned back towards Kameo. "I'll see if Joanna has some drinks in the kitchen when she goes to sleep."

"Ha!" Kameo laughed and grabbed three glasses from the cupboard, "I was going to share anyway." he poured out a very small amount for Captain and filled half the glass for himself.

Joanna knocked on the door. "If you all aren't busy with poker and the may-or-may-not-have-been-mentioned-whiskey, lunch is ready."

Leah stuck her tounge out at him and took a sip, leaning against the wall of the lab. "You always beat me anyways."

"Doesn't the dealer get a complimentary glass?" Daso asked, clasping his hands together in a begging fashion.

Lucian chuckled and nodded slowly. He gave one of Morrigan’s hands a small squeeze. “No problem, beautiful.”

"I know." Kameo smiled and called out, "Thanks for lunch, Jo-Jo!" he laughed and took a sip.

"Doesn't the dealer get a complimentary glass?" Daso asked, clasping his hands together in a begging fashion.

Kameo nodded and grinned at Daso, handing him a cup, "Pour yourself a glass. I trust you more."

"Your welcome. Now come and get it."

"Thanks, Joanne." Leah grinned, walking past her after she finished her glass. She stumbled a bit, but regained her footing as she continued down the halls.

Lucian chuckled and nodded slowly. He gave one of Morrigan’s hands a small squeeze. “No problem, beautiful.”

Her eyes widened and she was visibly struggling to pull herself together. She choked on what she was about to say, swallowing. “I—— me?”
