Lucian pointed to the now empty cot that Cicada had been on. “Sit, let me help.”
Joanna nodded and plunked down on the cot. She sighed, exhausted.
Lucian came over and sat next to Joanna. “I’m going to have to move your shirt up, don’t hit me, yeah?” He said in almost a joking tone.
She chuckled. "Alright, I won't."
After her reassurance, Lucian tugged up the side of her shirt and cleaned the wound the best that he could, then began to stitch it closed.
She cringed. "Yikes. I didn't think it was that bad."
“Better to be safe and keep it shut. Don’t want to risk an infection,” Lucian commented as he finished, now applying bandages over the stitches.
She nodded. "Thanks. Should I make something to eat? Or is no one hungry."
“I don’t know if anyone is up for eating after what just happened,” Lucian said as he tugged the medical mask off. “Listen, I have a question about those things.. Did they change into someone you knew?”
She nodded. "That happened to you too?"
Lucian nodded and clenched his jaw, gaze shifting to the body on the floor. “Yeah,” he said, managing to keep his tone level. “I had no idea they could do that. I just turned around and-.” He cut himself off, going silent.
She sighed. "How did they do that? There's no way they could of known, and besides, Jordan's buried on land."
"You guys saw them too?" Cicada whispered. She was worried she went crazy for a second there.
Ryan shut and locked the door behind him, leaning against it and sliding to the ground. Too many memories were flooding back to him. "Naomi…what I did was worse than what she did. I killed my mom. Stabbed her through the head…the blood…oh god the blood…" He hugged his knees close to his chest as he rocked back and forth, mumbling to himself. "But I can't tell anyone, because no one ever gets it. No one understands the way I think…the way I feel." Ryan laughed hysterically. "It's our nature, though. Humans are like that. They're selfish, they never understand. Even when someone dies, we cry because they are no longer around to provide us with whatever they had been for so long. It’s who we are…never understanding…"
Lucian turned his head to look at Cicada and nodded slowly. “I don’t know. I’ve never told anyone about Thea,” he said slowly. It was true, only his family and close friends back home had known, he never told the crew.
Joanna nodded. Taking a deep breath. "Lucian, am I good to go? I need to bake something to calm my nerves."
Cicada went quiet. It wasn't just her, but how did the zombie things know what to show to her?
Whoah, That was so sad!!! Lucian was getting married omg I nearly cried)
Morrigan lay in the floor of her room, unconscious with blood seeping from a deep wound in her stomach and pooling on the floor. She was an inch from death as the ghost of her twisted mother stood over her, raising a knife.
Ryan took a deep breath to calm himself as he looked around the room. The emptiness frightened him, but the way he was thinking scared him more. Alone…why am I surprised? You never tell people your problems…you never trust them…why would you expect them to trust you? He shook his head, laughing coldly. God, I wish I had been in the house that day. Burning to death would be a nice way to go…
(Back!)
Hey! Should the zombie stab Morrigan?)
(eXCUSE ME nO)
(we have enough emotional problems because everyone has a messed up past, so no getting stabbed until all this clears up)
(What should I do with her then? She’s unconscious with a zombie disguised as her mom standing over her)
Joanna nodded. Taking a deep breath. "Lucian, am I good to go? I need to bake something to calm my nerves."
Lucian nodded in response, pushing back to his feet. He walked over to his office area, to wher the body of the woman, Thea was. He exhaled slowly, eyes glancing over her porcelain features and curly blonde colored hair. He hoisted the body up, carrying it out of the infirmary. He couldn’t stand to look at her anymore, he had to get rid of the body.
