Morrigan’s heart picked the perfect time to speed up at her proximity to Lucian, but she did her best to ignore it, gripping Lucian’s shoulders with her one good arm.
Morrigan’s heart picked the perfect time to speed up at her proximity to Lucian, but she did her best to ignore it, gripping Lucian’s shoulders with her one good arm.
“Got it, we better hurry. A drugged attack isn’t exactly subtle, and someone had to of seen us,” Lucian said quickly.
People were beginning to catch on, yelling up at them.
"Okay," Cicada looked at them, "Try to keep up then."
She launched herself off of the rooftop onto the nearby one. She looked over and began to move from roof to roof waiting ever so often if Lucian needed to catch up.
Lucian grew hesitant for a moment because of Morrigan’s extra weight, but he moved quickly, leaping between rooftops, doing his best to keep up with Cicada.
Morrigan could see the ship up ahead, and she gripped Lucian tighter, hair flying out behind her from a sudden burst of wind.
"The ship is just up ahead," Cicada told Lucian as she leapt from yet another rooftop.
Lucian looked at the ship, his jaw clenched. He jumped, landing on the next rooftop, gaining his balance quickly. He was beginning to slowly get the hang of it, it seemed.
Cicada made the last jump down and landed at the docks, "Let's get to the ship."
Lucian jumped to the dock behind her, doing his best not to jostle Morrigan around too much. “Are you okay to walk or do you need me to keep carrying you?” He asked.
Leah watched from the deck, drumming her fingers on the edge of the boat. She narrowed her eyes, looking towards the sector and tried to read the signs but most came out as blurs.
“I—I can walk.”
Cicada walked onto the boat, she saw Leah looking off towards the sector, "I think everyone's back onboard the ship."
"Hey, red." Leah said, nodding towards Cicada. Her eyes traveled towards Lucian and Morrigan, her brow furrowing in concern. "Is she okay?"
"Had a confrontation with some crazy war general," Cicada looked over at Morrigan, "That and she may be infected with the plague, but Kameo gave her the cure."
Lucian nodded and headed up to the ship with Cicada. He turned to look over at Leah and he frowned. “Physically, she’ll be fine. Emotionally, probably not. We ran into her bloody father. But he had a heart attack,” He explained in a level tone.
Leah nodded and bit her bottom lip, thinking. "Just take her to the infirmary for now. I'll get started on navigation."
“Yes, Captain,” Lucian responded with a nod, leading Morrigan away and to the infirmary to take care of her arm.
Morrigan sagged against Lucian, rubbing her sore neck. “Thank you so much for what you did back there.”, she croaked. “I panicked, I’m sorry.”
(Okay I'm just waiting to bring Silver in again.)
Lucian led her over to a cot and sat her down. “It’s alright, it’s a natural reaction for you to panic..” he said softly. He tilted his head to look at her neck, seeing a few light bruises forming from the tight grip her father had on her.
(okay I missed a lot what happened with Morrigan and Lucian?)
( Does Cicada wanna help Leah navigate, then she can tell Cicada about their family. )
Morrigan swallowed painfully, knowing that there were gouges on her torso from his hands as well. “It was both fortunate and not that he was drunk.” Her voice came out in a dry rasp. “It made him slow-witted, but if he’d succeeded…. he’d’ve been even more brutal with me. I can’t thank you enough.”

Okay, so Mor’s father found them and tried to take Morrigan, but Lucian knocked him out with norphine)
