Ryan scrunched up his nose. "Thanks for telling me in advance, but yeah it tastes good."

She smiled. "Good." She set down the tray. "Maybe I should get the lemonade out."

Lucian gasped sharply, flinching back in shock. “Is that..? Oh, god, no!” He cried, hands clenched in his hair. He slipped gloves on and grabbed a sanitary mask, tugging it on. “Why did this have to happen?” He said aloud, pain in his tone. He still sat next to Morrigan, not wanting to make her upset. He squeezed her hand tightly. “Kameo got the cure, right? He can fix you up super quickly, yeah?”

(I think Daso's still in the infirmary oops I'm just going to say he is)

"What is it?" Daso demanded, glancing over. "Is she alright?"

Cicada dreamt of her old ship and crew. It was the first day the little pirate crew was all together. There was Breeze, a friend from Cielo who lived on the streets with Cicada, River, who joined the crew when Breeze and Cicada stopped by Anjou, James, a runaway from Sole who ended up in Anjou, and Brecken, a boy who had just joined the crew a few days ago. The ship had stopped in Cielo for a maintenance check. A small girl had stolen the remainder of there little supply of gold. Cicada had chased after her and was blocking her path.

"Who are you," Cicada the thirteen year old asked the girl.

"I'm no one," the girl responding, she looked to be twelve or so.

"Okay No One, you need to give me the gold," Cicada held out her hand.

"No way!" the girl shouted tightening her grip on the bag.

"Well alright then," Cicada walked past the girl and stole the pouch of gold back from her.

"What?" the girl looked down at their empty hands, "How did you do that?"

"I'll tell you if you tell me your name," Cicada responded.

"I'm Zanna," the girl responded quietly, "I'm a member of the Crygs gang."

"Well Zanna," cicada looked the girl up and down. She had the looks of a navigator, "Not anymore. You're a member of my crew!"

"You're a sailor?" Zanna asked her.

"You're looking at 'She-Devil'," Cicada pointed to herself, "Captain of the mighty Everflame."

"You're 13," Zanna pointed out.

"I'm a lot more famous than you Zanna thug of the Crygs," Cicada retorted.

"You have a point," Zanna thought for a second, "I'm in."

(Lucian doesn’t know, no one told him)

“From what I know, I-I believe it may be the plague-. But we don’t know for sure!” Lucian said quickly. He was trying to think as positively as he could in the moment, but it was difficult.

Kameo climbed down from the mast and headed to wherever Lucian was. Maybe he could fix a broken heart.

Daso's heart sank. The plague? That's…that's what killed Ace. "No, it's probably just some after effect of the siren," he said cheerily, trying to brighten the mood.

“She can’t feel her god damn arm, Daso, is that normal after a siren attack?!” Lucian exclaimed in a panic.

Daso grimaced, his eyes sad. "Lucian. Hey, it's going to be okay. If it's the plague, then Kameo can cure it. He won't let someone else die from it."

Morrigan’s eyes widened in terror. “Not possible.” She stared at the piece of flesh in horror.

“Does he even have the cure? How do we know it works, even if he does? Is that kid he brought aboard up and walking around, because I’d love to know, Daso,” Lucian said, his voice trembling. He had no idea if he was furious or upset, maybe both.

Morrigan’s breaths came in short spurts. “How long do I have?”, she whispered to Lucian, gray eyes large and filled with fear.

"He'll make the cure," Daso reassured, his voice steady. "He'll do it. Morrigan's going to be fine." He wished he believed it.

Cicada slowly awoke from her dream, she blinked open her eyes to see everyone panicking. She yawned, "What's going on?"

“This seems to be just the first symptom, you have a good bit of time,” Lucian said, getting up as he shifted papers around on his desk, most scattering to the floor. “Where the hell did I write the effects down at?” He hissed, obviously stressed by the situation, as he tended to get angry when stressed.

Morrigan tried to pull herself into sitting position, biting back a Yelp if pain and trying to fight back the steadily rising waves of her fear. It wasn’t the dying that bothered her so much, that she was fine with.

Cicada slowly awoke from her dream, she blinked open her eyes to see everyone panicking. She yawned, "What's going on?"

Daso said in a low voice so he didn't bother Lucian and Morrigan, "It's Morrigan. She has symptoms of the plague."

"That's bad," Cicada returned in a low voice.

"Yeah, no shit." Daso sighed, his brows furrowing. "We should tell Kameo."
