Lucas waved at her as she left, then went back into the cave. He needed to wait for it to be dark before going out again, as it was too bright for him.

Caroline got back home by the time the sun was setting she walked inside and saw her dad on one of the couches "Caroline come here" her father said she walked further and saw the king of the wolves and his son

Alex looked over at Caroline, a grin on his face. He looked really excited, for no apparent reason. His father told him to look normal but he didn't listen, so clearly that was his normal.

" dad whats going on?" She asked " come sit down" her father said and she sat next to her father as she was told " this is the Kings son Alex you two are going to elope" " what?" Caroline asked

Alex waved. "Hiya Caroline! It's good to finally meet you! Wow, you're even prettier in person!"

She smiled sweetly at Alex. " Caroline with the war between vampires and werewolves this could be a real advantage " he said

Alex huffed at the mention of vampires. "God, the very thought of them almost makes me sick! They're just pale little bat people!"

Caroline clenched her hand behind her back digging her nails into her palm but kept her smile " we feel the exact same way" her father said

Alex looked over at Caroline's father and smiled. "I'm glad you agree sir! So when is the ceremony planned for?"

" well I was thinking a fall wedding Caroline loves the fall" her father said " that's only six months from now!" Caroline said

Alex shrugged. "It'll give us plenty of time to get to know each other!"

" great!" She exclaimed closing her eyes

Alex then looked back at her father. "Sir do you mind if we leave the palace for a bit to talk? I promise we won't go far!"

" of course Alex" her father said and gestured for Caroline to stand up and she did

Alex stood as well. "Race you outside!" He then said suddenly, running out the room.

Caroline followed him until she was outside and looking off into the distance she could've sworn she saw Lucas

Lucas was in fact there, but as soon as he saw Alex he ran off. Alex tilted his head some at Caroline. "Hey, you good?"

She smiled and nodded her head " yeah I'm good " she said thinking about Lucas

"Okay! So what do you wanna do?" Alex asked her, giving her a sweet smile. "We could race some more, train for fighting, whatever you want!"

" can we just talk?" She asked finally looking at him " im afraid my head is elsewhere" she said

"Oh, um, sure!" Alex said with a nod. "So do you have any hobbies?" He asks her.

"I like to draw well more like doodle " she said bouncing on her heels

"Oh, cool. I don't really have the patience to do that, I like to do active stuff, like run, or really anything that's some sort of sport or exercise!" Alex replied, chuckling some. He and Lucas were polar opposites; one was scrawny and hated to exercise but would happily sit and enjoy quiet, while the other was noisy and toned, and hated sitting still.

" oh" she said " so we're going to get married " she said wishing more than anything to be with Lucas

"Yep!" Alex didn't notice the upset tone in her voice, thinking she was as excited as he was. "Then we'll wage war on those awful vampires!"

"You really hate them that much?" She asked

Alex growls some. "Well, yeah! They're awful creatures! Invading on our turf all the time, and even stealing prey from us!" He then looked back to her. "Why do you ask?"

" well they can't help it it's not their fault that thier vampires " she said

Alex tilted his head some, giving her a confused look. "Why are you defending them?"
