Soon enough they came to a part of the cave that was glittering with crystals and luminescent rocks, and Lucas grinned. "Wow! It's so beautiful in here! I'd say it suits you well to hang out here!"

She smiled and looked at the crystal's in awe she grasped Lucas's hand" lucas its beautiful " she said

Lucas smiled some and gave her hand a gentle squeeze. "It sure is…" He muttered, not even looking at the crystals now. Just looking at her eyes, twinkling in excitement and that wonderful smile. He'd give anything to keep that smile around forever.

She giggled" I love it here Thank you Lukey" she said resting her head on gis shoulder using her free hand to wrap around his bicep

Lucas flinched a bit at the touch, but relaxed again after a moment. "No problem, but I didn't know about the crystals, honestly…"

She looked up at him "Its so beautiful Lucas thank you so much" she said giving him a look of gratitude and love

He chuckled some and wrapped his arms around her, enveloping her in a hug.

She wrapped her arms around him welcoming the hug and burying her head in his chest

Lucas hummed quietly, running a hand through her hair. "Hey, Caro? Can I tell you something?" He asked her.

" yeah Lukey of course you can you know you can always ask me anything " she said with a smile but keeping her head buried in his chest

"I… We've known each other for a while, and I can't shake this feeling I have whenever I'm around you. It's as though you… Have made me alive again, every time I see you." Lucas hesitates. "I guess what I'm saying is, um…"

Caroline lifted her head up thier lips inches apart as she looked up at him she rested her hand on the back of his neck her fingertips touching his hair " yes? What is it lucas?"

Lucas admired her features for a moment, then pressed his lips onto Caroline's, arms wrapping around her waist.

She widened her eyes in shock before she closed her eyes and kissed him, moving her hand from his neck to cup his jaw

Lucas hummed quietly as he kissed Caroline for a minute, then pulling away so she could breathe. He didn't need to, but he knew she did.

She was breathing heavily as she looked up at him for a minute before resting her cheek on his chest

Lucas ran a hand through her hair. "I love you, Caro…" He whispered to her, pecking the top of her head.

"I love you too Luke I always have" she said closing her eyes"and I always will"

Lucas grinned at this, planting a few more small kisses on her head. "I'm so happy to hear that… I really am…" He then sighed some. "Too bad we can't actually do anything about it… Not get married, or even get caught on dates with each other…"

She looked up at him " im sorry Lukey " she said caressing his cheek with the pad of her thumb

Lucas leaned into her hand. "It's… It's not your fault," He replied quietly. "It's your damn dad's…" He growled at the very mention of him.

She brought her other hand to his other cheek "Lucas It's Okay" she said looking up and into his eyes " its okay it's all okay"

Lucas relaxed some and sighed. "I just hate how he treats you Caro…"

" I know lukey" she said before resting her cheek back on his chest " I know"

The vampire stayed silent for a bit. "We should probably check how late it's getting." He thought out loud. "I don't want you getting in trouble again."

She nodded"okay, If you say so" she said leaning off of him and walking back towards the entrance of the cage

Lucas walked with her, it was late afternoon now, almost evening. He sighed some. "Well, looks like you'll have to go soon…"

She nodded and sighed softly"yeah…" she said just as softly as her sigh

Lucas pulled her close and pressed his lips against hers again for a moment. "See you another time, then…"

She pulled him close in a hug "bye Lucas" she
whispered before letting him go and walking home
