Corban tosses back a few cups of punch before going to the edge of the room, his favorite place in social situations. He looks over the group of party guests, recognizing most of them from school.

Victoria wandered around the room, spotting the snacks and heading straight for the table.
Sofia sighs and looks up slightly. She was never popular, and most people tended to stay away from her, so most people she just didn't know. She was staring to second guess coming, it wasn't like this was her type of scene anyways. She stood up and walked over to a corner, sitting on the floor and just hoping not to be noticed.
Corban looks around the room again, not looking for anyone in particular. He sees Jade's brother setting a large bowl of chips down at the snack table. Corban goes over, tries a chip. Barbecue. Yup, this'd be his post for a while.
Sofia stands up after sitting and staring at the strangers around the room and walks to the bathroom. She walks in and quickly locks the door behind her, before staring at herself in the mirror for a while. Wondering if she should stay or go.
Before Victoria noticed the boy, she was at the snack table, trying to decide what to eat. But then she made the mistake of looking over. “Oh! Hey, you brought your car in… umm… Cody? Co…”
"Yeah, Corban." He tilts his head. "Victoria, right? Victoria Evans?" He grabs another handful of chips.
“Yep,” Victoria nodded, following his lead and taking a couple chips. “So. Is this… your party… or…. someone else’s….?”
She's at a party but doesn't know who's? Corban shakes his head. "Uh, no. Jade Carlyle's." He looks around but doesn't spot their host. "I don't know where she is, but I'm sure you've met her."
Victoria shrugged. “Probably. You must think I’m crazy, coming to a party and not knowing who’s it is.” (cough :P) She ate some more chips.
"It's actually not that crazy if you think about it." Corban grabs a soft drink and opens it. "Most of these kids probably only know Jade by name, and are just here for the fun," he gestures to the table. "And the food."
“That is exactly what I thought when (can I say Sofia?) texted me an invite,” Victoria laughed. “And then my motivation for coming was that there would be chips.”
(Did The.Girl.Who.Is/Sofia text you? If not, I wouldn't invent their storyline for them. If they did, sure, say Sofia.)
Corban laughs with her. "Mine was something along the same lines."
//yeah I was asking them
