(I feel no pulse, but we can revive it if we try.)
//yeap
“I react with sarcasm,” Victoria shrugged. “Also stealing chips.”
Corban grins. "Thief."
“Grand words from the guy abetting me,” Victoria joked.
Corban shrugs, palms face-up. "Hey, you're the one with all the chips."
Sofia shakes her head and laughs slightly. She wipes off her already clean shorts and looks at them. "Dorks," she mutters, smirking slightly.
“I am indeed,” Victoria grinned. “So are we going to explore or not?”
"Did someone say explore? Bruh, they're all acting like babies haha. I don't blame them but I don't want to be one-if ya know what I mean," Brandon called from a few feet away to the group.
Victoria whirled around, facing Brandon. “Darling, we have a bag of chips, a flashlight, and three plucky attitudes. We can conquer the whole freaking world.”
Corban shrugs in the dark. "Hey, I'm up for anything legal."
“Well, you might want to stay at the back of the group, then. Gives you a better chance of escape,” Victoria mused.
Corban laughs. "Aw, no fun. But really, ever since I had a brush with the police at a party last year, my Mom has been at me to behave even more than she used to."

“Well, don’t you dare rain on my parade,” Victoria grinned.

(You'll have to wait until @♥️.The.Girl.Who.Is♥️ is around to tell you. I don't see why she'd say no, but, to be respectful/"play safe," I'd wait until you have an official "Yes" from her.)
"Just as long as I have a chance to run, then, is all I'm asking for." Corban replies, the laughter evident in his voice.
(okee then that's fine)
“You always have a chance. Wether or not you take it is another story,” Victoria smirked.
"Deep, man." Corban nods with faux solemness, "That's deep." He looks around at the darkened street, having forgotten for a moment their whole situation. "I forgot about this for a second." He gestures to the whole street and walks to the end of the driveway.

(you may)
"Honestly I think we should all go home," Sofia mutters, still freaked out a bit.
“If you can see, be my guest,” Victoria said, her smile fading. “And I’m not giving you my flashlight.”
Corban looks back to "his group," at their now barely visible forms, and then at the darkened house behind them. He goes back up to the group and stands next to Sofia. "We'll be okay, Sofia." He tries to put all the confidence he can into the words, even if he doesn't know how true or false they are. "The city is probably working on the issue right as we speak."
