"Victoria?" Corban strains his eyes trying to see tell Victoria apart from all the other kids. "I'm near the door. The front door."
"Victoria?" Corban strains his eyes trying to see tell Victoria apart from all the other kids. "I'm near the door. The front door."
Victoria thought she heard something about a door, so she stumbled in that general direction. She bumped into someone (Corban). “Oh! Sorry.”
"Hey! Oh," Corban leads them towards the door. "Sorry, didn't know it was you. Sofia's out in the front."
Sofia sits on the ground and buries her face in her hands. She could feel her anxiety spiking, the feeling of someone grabbing her heart and squeezing. She started to breathe heavily, trying her best to stay calm. She always overreacted over power outages.
“No worries. I stole the chips,” Victoria said, letting Corban lead her to the door. She had no idea how to maneuver around all the scared people, but Corban seemed to have a handle on it.
Corban steps out, chuckling at Victoria's resourcefulness. "At least we won't starve while they're fixing the power." His smile drops when he sees Sofia sitting on the ground. He kneels next to her. "Sofia?"
Sofia flinches slightly at the sound of his voice and lifts her head. "Oh…it's you…" she mutters under her breath. She wipes a piece of hair out of her face and just sits there for a minute. "Uhh…sorry.."
"You okay?" She's clearly not, but 'what's wrong' sounds pushy to Corban at the moment.
Victoria offered her the bag of chips. She’d never been particularly good with people… machines were easier to understand.
Sofia shook her head and stood up. "I'm fine, honest. I just, do you think this will be fixed soon," Sofia asked, trying to be at least the littlest bit hopeful.
“I hope so,” Victoria agreed, shrugging and holding the chip bag to her chest.
Corban shares the same hope, but he doesn't have any basis for it. He has no idea at all what's going on. He stamps down his fear and says, "We'll find out what's going on soon."
Sofia runs a hand through her hair and shakes her head. "It's just so weird…I mean why wouldn't the phones work..?"
“I dunno,” Victoria shrugged. “But we have chips, so at least we won’t starve.”
"I don't know." Corban says in response to Sofia's question. It's not exactly a lie is it? Sure, he knows of numerous possibilities as to why this could be happening…
"As long as we have chips the world will survive." He adds to Victoria's comment to divert the conversation. He holds a hand out to her, wiggling his fingers at the chip bag. "Please. Gimme."
Victoria sighed and handed him a single chip. “Fine.”
(Gah, Notebook.ai frustrates me.)
Corban sticks out his lower lip for a second but accepts the lone chip. "Okay, Victoria won't starve."

Stupid errors
“Precisely,” Victoria agreed, taking two chips out of the bag and eating them.
(It's been acting up all week. On another note: I'm getting really excited about this RP.)
Corban shakes his head at her, throwing his hands up in exasperatedly. "How cruel."
Sofia crosses her arms and scowls at them. "You two act like little children."
“Well, I am mentally three,” Victoria agreed, eating another four chips.
"Ha!" Corban crosses his arms, giving up on ever getting any more chips. "My mental age has six years on yours!
Sofia rolls her eyes and annoyedly puts her hands on her hips. "How are you guys so calm about this…?"
Corban shrugs. "For some reason I almost always react to stressful situations with laughter."
“I react with sarcasm,” Victoria shrugged. “Also stealing chips.”
