Sam sat on a couch in a dingy motel, half asleep and annoyed. He had some sort of TV program playing for background noise, and it suddenly cut out. He walked over to it, grumbling, fiddling with the controls. Suddenly, it spluttered to life. "You have been chosen for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Please select your destination!" the TV played on repeat in a cheery voice. Several pictures of different places appeared on the TV screen. One looked like a neon-lit city, all pinks and blues against a night sky. He tapped it on the TV out of curiosity, and before he could save himself he was surrounded by a light, taking him far from the hotel
Briar was surfing the darker side of Tumblr on her laptop , delving in the wonders of the “Evil Patrick” meme, when she suddenly got ambushed with pop up ads.
“Oh..?” She tittered, arching an eyebrow.
The ad read, in bright, bold letters, CLICK HERE TO INDULGE IN THE WONDERS OF..A TROPICAL ISLAND GETAWAY !
She stared at it for a moment.
“Hmm..an ominous add..welp, what the heck? I’m a depressed bi birdie. And besides there might be a few cute island guys..and girls”
She clicked on the add, and a bright light filled her screen. She screamed, shielding her eyes from the shock.
When she opened her eyes, she found that she was in a grassy ruin.
“Aw, nuts!”

Floyd was lounged out on the floor of his apartment, his back against the end of the couch. He seemed to be extremely interested in a football game that was on the tv. He jumped up from the floor as a receiver darted down the field. “Yes! Come on!” He cheered, an excited grin on his face.
But the tv suddenly cut off. “The hell?” Floyd said, a frown on his face. ‘YOU HAVE BEEN CHOSEN FOR A ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY! SELECT YOUR DESTINATION!’ popped up on the black screen before a few images popped up behind it. His eyes narrowed as he crouched in front of the tv. A picture of strange, but almost beautiful and unique rock formations over looking a large body of water cuaght his attention, and he pressed his hand to the screen. There was a strange feeling in his chest, and light engulfed his vision before he could even begin to feel shocked.
Matthias rolled over groggy from a hangover, until he fell off the edge of his bed. "Uuugghh," Matt groaned and sat up, rubbing his eyes and he heard the distant click of his old TV turning on through the static. He sighed and stood up to stumble into his main room, where the TV was. All the sound that was coming out was increased static, but a beautiful neon blue-and-pink city was the background behind a flashing message reading: YOU'VE BEEN CHOSEN FOR THIS ONCE OF A LIFETIME OPPORTUNITY. He reached forward to place his hand against the screen of the city, as soon as his hand felt the tingle of the electricity from the device, he seemed to be instantly sent on an acid trip. One minute in his living room and the next he was… Where was here? He looked around at the glowing lights of swirling cotton candy colors.

Sam blinked, groaning as he rolled over. He hadn't realized he was on a bed however, and rolled to the floor with an "oof!" He had a headache and everything seemed far too bright. At first he thought it was just a bad hangover, but he slowly began to realize that he wasn't in the motel room anymore. The room he was in was an off-color dark, all dull purples and reds. Neon pink and blue lighting blared from behind the curtains, and he got up to close them. "Someone remind me to stop drinking before bed," he muttered to himself
“Holy…it’s like..” Briar reached out to touch the crumbling stone of the ruin’s walls, gingerly as though not to damage it. Curls of wild vinage cascaded down the walls like a plant waterfall. The girl looked out onto the horizon, seeing an array of pinks, purples, reds and oranges, tangoing to create the perfect dusk sky.
“Wow..” she breathed, her hazel eyes sparkling.
(lol is Matt in the same room as Sam? can he please?)

"Stop drinking before bed." Matt repeated from the floor. He brought a hand up to his head. "And stop speaking so loud."
Sam whipped around. "Who the hell…Oh. Oh no. I wasn't that drunk last night, was I?"

"Calm down, megaphone. I don't think we did the horizontal hanky-panky." Matt managed to sit up, still holding his hand against his temples.

Sam gave him a confused look before putting a hand on his head. "What? Where am I? Who the hell says horizontal…whatever you just said? Where are you from?" He walked over to a nearby desk and sat down since standing just made his headache worse
Orion was idly listening to the television as he puttered around his small kitchen. As he was making tea, the volume turned higher. You have been chosen for a once in a lifetime opportunity! Press your destination! Coming in he saw several images flit across the screen. A city of neon towers, a towering jungle forest, a rocky inlet, a river. When the images circled back around, thinking it a hoax, he tapped the jungle. In an instant he found himself surrounded by trees, with ruins in the distance, and the sweet, sticky smell of new growth.

"I'm from Texas." He groaned out. "And this is a motel… I think" He said, finally looking around and out the widow at the gleaming lights of intoxicating blues and pinks.
Thayer flipped through their tumblr, bored. Homework sucks. They didn’t want to do it.
Suddenly, an ad popped up. THE CHANCE OF A LIFETIME! PICK YOUR PERFECT DREAM DESTINATION!
They blinked. What…? Sheugging, they tapped the picture of a plant-filled island. Not like anything would happen…
A strange tingling sensation filled their entire body. Like it should hurt, but it didn’t. Bright lights, then a beach with a beautiful sunset.
Sam rubbed his eyes, frowning. "Lovely. Stuck in some acid trip motel however many miles from California," he grumbled. "At least it looks like a four star."
Asura blinked, looking up at the bright blue sky. His back ached from the uneven, rocky surface that he was laying on. He sat up, running a hand through his hair.
“Holy…” Briar turned around to see someone standing right beside her, shielding their eyes from the bright light.
She blushed awkwardly.
“Hello, there, stranger. I’m Briar. Briar Slateman.”

Calixto rushed around his small room, looking for a paper that had blown off his desk. Finding it, he picked it up and plopped back into his seat beside the computer. The screen was dark as if it were in sleep mode. He moved the mouse around and nothing seemed to be working. About to turn off the computer an ad popped up over the screen.

"What the hell?" he asked the computer, frustrated. His screen wasn't even a touch screen and his mouse wouldn't work. Rolling his eyes, he poked a random icon on the screen knowing it wouldn't work.
There was a sudden glow that filled the room with white. Cal felt himself fall forward but it wasn't on the sort carpet. It was on the dirt floor of a jungle. He faintly heard the chirping of birds in the background.
Something was definitely off about that ad…
“I-“ they spun. “I’m Thayer.” The girl seemed nice, but they didn’t let their guard down. This was weird. What am I doing here? What happened? Their eyes darted around wildly.

Matt got up and staggered over to the window to gaze out at the surrounding city. "Oh honey, we're defintely not in Texas…"
