"Little hope?" she repeated. "No, sorry. That's not good enough." Her hands trembled. "I need to get her back, Mr. Schuyler. What else can you tell me about him?"
He sighed inwardly. This was what she had promised him. "Mid-thirties, blond hair, brown eyes, 6'2, last spotted in… well, two blocks away," he frowned.
"Two blocks." Evera studied the map he pulled up, locating the spot where the man had last been seen. It was a fancy restaurant. Not a creepy warehouse or something, but a nice place. She lowered her brows. "I'm going. I have to talk to him, then."
"What!?" Lukas jumped to his feet. "No, Ev- Dr. Chung." He violently shook his head. "It's too dangerous." He looked into her eyes, desperate for her to understand. Too much had already happened it this man's hand.
"Yeah?" she challenged. "Well I don't care. I'd rather die than have to live knowing I could have saved Riley but I didn't. I have to save her, okay? And anyone else who's suffered from this guy!"
Lukas tightened his jaw. "Then take Alice with you. Believe me, no one has more motivation to take take him down than her."
Her blood ran cold. She remembered Alice's tears on the piano. Had Alice been hurt by this bastard? "What do you mean? What happened to Alice?"
He bit his lip. "Look, that's already more than I should have said. She doesn't like being viewed as the victim, just keep that in mind, please." He ushered her out into the hallway.
(gonna go to dance class soon. ill be on again later this evening)
"But I-" She tried to say, but he shushed her, practically shoving her back into the living room where Alice was. She looked at Alice, trying to discern her thoughts. She asked, "Alice, hey. Mr. Schuyler found the guy who probably kidnapped Riley. He's at a restaurant two blocks away."
(okay see you later)
Alice looked away from the shelf of photographs by the door and erased her frown. She registered Eve's sentence and looked to Lukas.
He looked back at her, no anger in his eyes. "We think Johan has her."
Her eyes widened. Her heart sank. "Two blocks," she breathed.
"I don't want to ask you to do something you aren't comfortable with," Evera said softly, approaching Alice. "If you don't want to…you don't have to come. But I'm not stopping."
//is this still open?
(yeap)
"I don't want to ask you to do something you aren't comfortable with," Evera said softly, approaching Alice. "If you don't want to…you don't have to come. But I'm not stopping."
Alice composed herself and shook her head. "No way am I letting you go anywhere near him alone." She stood up and gave Lukas a significant look, and he backed out of the room. She looked back at Evera. "Eve, you have ti understand. There are millions of risks involved in doing this."
"And there are a billion risks in not doing it," Evera shot back. "I have to. I don't care who this Johan guy is. He's not going to hurt my girlfriend."
Leaving the police to there job, Xavier hid inside an alley way, and un-hiding his wings, he flew to the top of the skyscraper.
Alice hung her head. "Ok. Let's go, then." She picked up her coat and exited out the back door.
(should we connect all the characters?)
(Yeah that's what I was hoping would happen. Maybe Xavier and Leonard follow a trail of their own to the restaurant?)
(yeah ok that works)
(Ok, ill go to the restaurant for some reason!)
(perfect)
Finding that Mister Long was in a unconscious state, Leonard left him without a goodbye. Leaving the hospital, he walked with his bike out of the parking lot then road off on his bike once he reached the sidewalk.
(ME too….Somehow)
