Leaving Evera to the phone call, Xavier raced forward to help Mel.
Leaving Evera to the phone call, Xavier raced forward to help Mel.
Mel stumbled, her arm shifting to pull her glove half off. She yanked the arm away immediately, and struggled to get the glove back on.
'Creepy Lady!' He thought. Pulling his leg back, he kicked her off of him. Looking back at the other two people, Leonard nearly peed his pants to see Xavier racing towards him in all his deadlines.
"Leonard!" He boomed. Skidding on the ice, he rammed straight into the boy, he little body slide across the ice like an angry baby penguin. "Is this what you wanted to become?!" He demanded.
"Don't know!" Leonard blurted as he slide on his already bruised back, "You tell me?" Climbing to his feet, he stared up at Xavier with blazing eyes.
Mel panicked and pulled up her pant leg, lashing out and giving a small dose of painful poison.
//basically her skin is poisonous, but it’s more concentrated around her hand, which is the part she kills with. Otherwise, it”smweaker the farther away, so poison from her leg is just a painful and nothing else
(Interesting, and kinda odd)
"I would not call you a monster since you have never killed anyone, but I would call you an idiot and a child, in all aspects of your life!" Straightening his back, he finished, "Will you give up this fight, or do you want you mother to see what you have become?"
Looking at all gate ways to the lot they were on, he slowly backed up, "I don't know…" Leonard murmured, "I really don't know what to do at this point."
“Why did you even do it to begin with?” Mel asked quietly. “They’ve been nothing but good so far.”
"Why I joined Johan, or why 'someone has been good? I really confused about what you mean the at last part."
“Why you joined Johan.”
Xavier too looked back at her for the answer.
"I thought I told you that already…" Leonard blurted, "Was she there for that?" Leonard asked Xavier.
"No, I think not."
(Brb…)
(Ill wait for you… Maybe…)
“Why you joined Johan.”
Looking back at her, he answered, "Have you ever met someone that doesn't look down at you for all the wrong things you've ever done in life? Have you ever met someone the praises you, looks up to you for help? Needs you? And doesn't bully you just because you're small?" Glancing at the towering buildings, he continued, "No one ever, in my entire life, needed me for something important, everyone I know, in school or out in public, looks down at me like a baby, they act like I'm a child, they do that pudgy voice thing that you use when your talking to an infant or a baby animal! And I'm a teen! Just because I'm small, just because I look like a child… That doesn't give anyone the right to carry me around and become overly sorry just because they bumped into me! When people say 'I'm sorry' I get super annoyed because they say that for everything!" Taking a deep breath, he finished, "Johan treats me like a man, not a child…. All I ever wanted was someone that thinks of me that way."
(Sorry if this is too long)
“Johan’s a liar, and a cheat. He’s manipulative. He knows exactly what people want and what they’d do to get that. He’s using you. How do you think I ended up in that cage?” She asked. “Same as you. I trusted him because he treated me kindly and truly seemed to think I wasn’t a monster. He’ll turn his back on you just as soon as you outlive your usefulness.”
"So you under stand why I joined him then…" The words came out much softer then Leonard intended, but he guessed it was better that way.
Walking forward, Xavier said kindly, "We can still go back and take Johan down, Leonard, but this time can you be with us?"
"I just shot you in the chest.." He said softly, so soft that no one heard him, "I still don't know." Backing up, he was slightly shocked when he hit the wall of the building. Looking from side to side, he was completely surrounded, 'I wish I was back home in my tree house.'
"Leonard," Xavier soothed, walking forward, he placed his hand on the boys shoulder, "You don't have to… If you don't want to." Kneeling so he was eye level, he placed his hands on the boys temples, "Don't be scared, don't even worry, you'll be home soon enough." Closing his eyes, he whispered, "Leniret mens te: tu autem salvus."
The boys looked down at the ground, his whole demeanor grew weak. Wrapping his arms around him, Xavier picked the tired boy up and cuddled him like a baby. Looking at the others, he said strongly, "Ok, lets go to base."
"Where? And what about his mom? She's worried," Evera said, catching up with the others. She was dead tired. An unsettling ache had settled into her bones. She'd used her ability on two major wounds and the effects were starting to get worse. "How far do we have to go?"
"Not that far." Xavier confirmed, "Lonan is coming to pick us up."
"But what about my mom?" He said faintly, tired with sleep.
