Vaughn bit at his lower lip, looking down at himself. His white button up was blood stained where he had been shot, which simply annoyed him more than anything. “I’ll be fine, don’t worry about it. Believe me, I’ve had worse. Besides, gave Dylan an opportunity to jump in,” he said, grumbling the last bit as he shrugged again in a careless way.
Kaz scowled slightly. A night at some robot’s place? Memories of the labs flashed through his mind, and he shook his head slightly to clear them from his brain. “You got medical supplies?” he asked Artemis, tapping his foot distractedly
Avery peered at Vaughn for a moment, trying to figure out if he was bluffing or not.
"Well, whether or not you've had worse, you won't always heal correctly, you know. We should get you– We should get both of us somewhere that someone can patch us up," she suggested. "Don't you think?"
"I have medical treatment devices for both organic and mechanic beings."
Kaz felt his hand twitch slightly. He didn’t like the idea of letting Vaughn near any sort of “repair devices.” He nodded in response, making an unreadable expression. “You know what, I’ll be right back,” he said before turning on his heel and making his way back to Vaughn and Avery
Vaughn exhaled slowly, nodding his head a tad as he ran a hand across his jaw. “Yeah, Okay. You’re right,” he said. He would have continued talking, but Kaz had come over. He seemed to brighten noticeably when the other came over, despite his terrible state. “What’s going on, Kaz?”
“Some weird robot, who I very much do not trust for the record, has offered to let us stay at its place and says it has ‘repair devices,” Kaz said, making air quotes as he said ‘repair devices.’ He sat down beside Vaughn again, frowning at the ground. “I say we should just call Cas. We don’t need some robot dissecting people.”
Avery fell silent as Kaz joined them, turning back to watch Dylan and the other person.
Dylan stepped up and held out his hand, "Thanks, Artemis. I owe ya. I need to get my friends out, but they can't move. I'm going to grab my truck. Can you come with me and show me the way once we pick them up?"
(I probably have to go soon, and then I might not be back until Monday.)
Vaughn’s lips pursed as he turned his head to look at Kaz. “I don’t trust that too much, either. I agree with contacting Cas,” he said, fingers tapping in the dirt.
“Think I might call him when we get to R2-D2 over there’s house,” Kaz murmured quietly. “I don’t want any devices touching you,” he said, a hint of protectiveness in his tone
“Believe me, I think I’d rather bleed out,” Vaughn muttered. His hand reached over and rested on top of Kaz’s as he bit the inside of his cheek sharply.

"Do you have a smartphone?"
Kaz shifted so he was holding Vaughn’s hand, leaning slightly against him. “Don’t worry, I’ll call Cas. Hell I’ll call Argo before I let some robot have at you,” he said softly. If you loved him you would have electrocuted that damn robot on sight, his mind spat, and he frowned a little in response
Vaughn nodded a bit, feeling calmed by Kaz’s prescience. He was sure that he would have given up if Kaz hadn’t shown up. Kaz was his relief.

(Erm…. electrocuting her would have actually helped more than harmed. Robot logic.)
Kaz sighed, running a hand through his hair. He really needed to calm down before he hurt someone. He could feel the electricity tingling at his fingertips, just begging for direction. He resolved to rest his head in the crook of Vaughn’s neck, trying to take a few calming breaths as he stared down at the ground
(Not sure how well that would have helped considering that a full-on, decent sized bolt of lightning would normally fry electronics)

Vaughn could tell that Kaz felt a tad uneasy. “Are you okay?” He asked in a surprisingly gentle tone. He reached his free hand up, rubbing at Kaz’s scalp and curls.
“M’fine,” Kaz muttered, feeling himself calm a little just from Vaughn’s touch. He leaned a little more on him, the other man’s presence soothing on its own. “Just a little jumpy is all.”
“There’s nothing to be jumpy about, okay? I’ve got you,” Vaughn said softly, running his fingers through Kaz’s curls in a comforting way.
“You’re telling the guy who controls electricity not to be jumpy?” Kaz joked, though there was a hint of unease in his tone. Vaughn’s touch definitely was helping calm him down a little however, and he took a deep breath in an attempt to calm down a little more
