@Mr.Misfit

Dylan waved the offer, not hungry at the present moment in time. Instead, he guided the ship toward a fairly well hidden stretch of land. It would be kind of weird if a pitch black boat found its way to harbor, wouldn't it?

He thought about what he might find in Botswana. A fight, for sure, but what else?His father? His brother? More crazy heroes?

His sanity?

Haha, Shadow. You wish. He chuclked to himself as he gave the ship a nudge to starboard.

Vaughn shook his head slowly. “No, I’m alright, thank you,” He said in a level tone, hands slipping into the pockets of his suit jacket.

(I feel like our characters have, like, the most awkward relationship ever. I mean, seriously. Avery's the youngest, the only girl, the leader, and she likes Dylan. Dylan seems completely oblivious to Avery's feelings and is just, like, really chill. And Vaughn seems like he doesn't even want to be there…)

(Not that any of those are bad, it's just interesting.)

@Mr.Misfit

(Lol, that's rather true. I'd agree with you all the way were it not for the fact that Dylan has aknowledged not only her feelings, but his own as well. Case in point: the playing around before E died. He just doesn't want to bring that up here. He is chill though. By now he has accepted that weird is pretty normal.)

Dylan sighed and turned around, debating whether or not to follow Avery belowdecks after all. Vaughn wasn't much for conversation, and this had been proven by numerous attempts on Dylan's part. On the other hand, he didn't want to seem obsessive. So he just stood there, staring at the hatch Avery had dissappeared down, unable to act.

(And here I am, acting like a Blonde… Gosh, I feel smart sometimes…)
(Anyway…)

Avery went into her cabin and sat on her bed, pulling a duffel bag closer to herself. Yeah, she'd "make" breakfast… "Make" as in pull out a granola bar and eat that. Honestly, she was sort of glad neither of the guys had come with. That way she wouldn't have to figure out how to make something on this ship with their limited food supply.

With a weary sigh, she leaned back against the headboard of the bed and took a bite of her "breakfast." At least it was better than nothing.

Vaughn watched Dylan with narrowed eyes. But it wasn’t in a judging way, more of a considerate way. “You look like a lost puppy,” he spoke up in a low tone, leaning against one of the rails with his arms loosely crossed.

@Mr.Misfit

"Yeah, that's part of the problem. That certainly is. Not that Avery herself is a problem, mind you. Just the fact that I can't get her out of my head. And she's reminding me that I used to be a human. A true, honest-to-god human who wasn't a hero. And once unshakable me is now more vulnerable than I ever have been. Take that on top of being the son of a murderer, and partial to two conflicting powers that seem to be having a war inside me? Not fun."

He turned and gave Vaughn an apologetic look, "I probably sound like a mopy son of a gun to you right now. But you asked."

@Desvelarse pets

Vaughn gave a loose shrug. “It’s fine. Why don’t you tell her all of this, exactly? I’m sure you’d like the outcome,” he said, hinting that he knew something Dylan didn’t. It was obvious they both liked each other, and their back and forth awkward moments were getting slightly annoying.

After she had finished her granola bar and a bottle of water, Avery decided to go back up to the deck of the ship. When she was almost up, she heard Dylan and Vaughn talking, but she couldn't make out the words. Maybe she should wait for them to finish before she went back up…
