Cicada took a syllabus, but couldn't focus. Why couldn't they all focus on class? Why did they have to have their own mental conversation?

The teacher started rambling away, abd Bedros looked eagerly around the room.
He spotted a girl who seemed irritable, with horns.
"Uh, are you alright?" He asked.

Cicada glanced up at the boy who's thoughts were filled with concern and the loudest out of all of them. She mumbled and stuck her face back on her desk, "Leve me alone. I'm fine."

Bedros was shocked, and turned around, sorry. He looked back at Jamie.

Min Joon looked around the room at his classmates, he recognized some of them from the group that he had been talking to after the assembly.

Those tried to focus on what the teacher was saying but couldn’t

Jamie glanced over at Cicada before looking back at Bedros, confusion easily readable on his face. “Maybe she’s just shy,” he suggested.

With Marcus effectively ignoring his attempts to get his attention, Neil rested his head in his hand and scanned the room. Horned redhead, no shoes kid, girl with a tattoo sleeve… Interesting bunch. He hummed to himself and his eyes eventually reached the guy in the seat behind him. "Heya."

Min Joon looked over at the person who had spoken to him. "Hey" He scanned the room again before looking back to him "Pretty boring class huh."

Neil shrugged, flicking his tail. "Eh, not the worst I've had to sit through. I guess it is just mostly orientation though, being the first day.."

"I've always hated orientation day." He laughed lightly "its helpful but boring"

(I just got back from seeing Endgame…I don't..know what to do anymore?)

"Mhm." Neil eyed the guy for a moment, his sharp eyes narrowed. "So, uh, mind if I ask…y'know, what exactly you are?"

(Can relate)

Min Joon laughed slightly "I'm a ghost, although it might not look like it right now."

"Ooh, cool."
Marcus's ear twitched, and he curiously turned slightly to Neil. "Wha- who are you talking to?"
Neil looked at him and pointed his thumb behind him. "Ghost kid."
"Oh…" Marcus leaned a little bit to see better as he gave a small wave to the boy behind his friend.

Bedros received the syllabus, taking it in, and reading it. He took a few papers, and passed them back.

Min Joon returned a small wave to the boy. "Nice to meet you both."

Marcus smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, too." before turning back to his syllabus. Neil turned back to "Ghost Kid", messing with the back of Marcus's hair with one hand. "What's your name, man?" He asked.

Jamie took a syllabus and passed the rest back, then proceeded to draw a dragon eating the words on his paper. He smirked with satisfaction at the doodle, glancing at Bedros to see if he noticed.

Bedros had noticed, he flashed Jamie a wink, and another faultless smile to go along with it!

Jamie grinned back and continued to draw on the rest of his paper. He wished he could bring his drawings to life. He even got out his colored pencils and colored in the dragon, the scales iridescent shades of indigo and violet and the eyes a piercing amber, contrasting with the rest of it. Suddenly Jamie wished he’d drawn that in his sketchbook instead. Why did all of his good drawings have to be on syllabi or homework or something?

Marcus smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, too." before turning back to his syllabus. Neil turned back to "Ghost Kid", messing with the back of Marcus's hair with one hand. "What's your name, man?" He asked.

"Oh sorry, its Min Joon." He answered "and yours?"
