Kara sat next to the girl with her head on the desk “are you okay”
Cicada didn’t actually hear or see the girl, but she could hear more concerning thoughts from somewhere nearby. She muttered out, “Stop thinkin so loud.”
"Sorry," Klaus called from across the class.
Cicada winced and used her hands to cover her ears. That hurt.
Did I leave my stove on? He thought to himself. Wait, I don't have a house. Who's stove did I leave on?
Bedros stumbled into class, catching a few off looks. He smiled, obliviously, sitting in the back, by a window.
The teacher was a tall, strong man who looked more like a linebacker than a teacher. Of Asian descent, with untidy, black hair and dark eyes.
Cicada was about ready to either start blindlessly fighting people or pass out. They all though to much, like most people do.
(Oof not Bedros)
;)
She spoke again “do you need help”
Jamie walked in lightly, almost skipping as he took his seat. He was smiling still, oblivious to Cicada’s pain or anyone else’s as he was clearly caught up in his own little world.
“No,” Cicada looked up her eyes slightly unfocused, but the rage was there. Her words slurred as she spoke, “Just go away.”
She turned back up to the front of the class I hope she will be okay
Bedros tapped Jamie on the shoulder, giving him one of his faultless smiles.
"Hello!" He giggled
“Hi!” replied Jamie enthusiastically. “So it looks like we found the right place!”
(Should we start the lesson now?)
Cicada groaned quietly. Could class start so all their heads would think the same damn thing?
(I gotcha, was busy sry)
"Good morning, class. Today is nothing special, just a few rules and regulations." His voice boomed. "There will be no seating chart, just take a syllabus and pass it back."
Jamie’s eyes began to glaze over. Talking rules bored him to no end. He tried to think of a witty remark. “Syllabus? More like kill-a-us,” he muttered with a smirk, hopefully too low for the teacher to hear.
Bedros looked over at Jamie.
"What do you think the next class will be?" He asked.
“Umm…they don’t have math here, do they?” he asked, furrowing his brows. “It’s be really cool if they have an art class. What do you think we’ll have?”
Theo took the syllabus
Marcus took the thin stack of papers from the person in from of him and took one, then passed it back to Neil, who took one as well and passed the last one to the person behind him.
Min Joon took a syllabus when it was passed to him and set it down the his desk, not paying much mind to it since the teacher would most likely explain it all anyway.
