"Not sure. Magical more than likely. Otherwise we would have been there by now, and I would have gut Addison's attackers." Jay passed through some trees and made a noise of frustration. They had ended up back by the tunnel behind the waterfall from before
"Jay, I've been meaning to ask," Phoenix hesitated, "Do you like Addi?"
Then she noticed where they were and narrowed her eyes. This wasn't good.
Jay froze up a little. In his and Cyprus' combined state, he seemed to be struggling to respond. "I…I choose not to answer that," he said, walking up to the waterfall
Even with the serious situation they were in, Phoenix couldn't help but laugh.
"Oh you do, don't you?!" she cried, "I knew it! Luce owes me five bucks now." (they had made a bet)
"I don't like her!" Jay yelled, storming off behind the waterfall
"Sure you don't," Phoenix smirked, following him into the tunnel-like cave, "And I'm a zmeya."
"And you probably are!" Jay yelled. He stopped in front of the cave and frowned up at it. "She's through one of these tunnels, I know it, I'm just not quite sure which."
Addison looked up. I–I'm not sure…..I can't really see…….gahh that hurts. She transmitted, trying to shift without hurting herself any more and failing spectacularly. There are two men with purple-ish skin. Neither of them has wings. But whatever they used to capture me, it worked pretty well. My good shoulder is bleeding and so is my left knee……..
Stay still, we're getting closer. Do they have any face tattoos like mine? Phoenix transmitted.
(who's older, Addi or Phoenix?)
(Since when did they make a bet?)
(Ok! Oh, I just made that up. Pretend they did it before they left for the mission)
(Random question: is breakfast really the most important meal of the day? Because I think that's a lie)
Stay still, we're getting closer. Do the men have any face tattoos like mine? Phoenix transmitted to Addi.
(for some reason if I skip breakfast I get tired easy so I guess it depends?)
While waiting for Addi to answer, Phoenix caught up with Jay and looked at the tunnels that caused him to halt. One of them… called to her?
It felt familiar, like a dream.
"It's that one," she said, pointing at the tunnel on the left.
Jay looked down it. "Wonderful. I think that leads next to the meltwood. We can save Addison and get the satellite at the same time."
"Perfect. We need to maintain the element of surprise," Phoenix said, gazing down the tunnel, "The men holding her don't know we're following them or that Addi can communicate with me."
(hey, Notebook.ai made a new feature that allows you to share universes, would you guys like to make one with the characters from this rp?)
Addison sighed. I can't see. They have their backs turned.
