Tiffany leaned against Camie and sobbed silently. "Mom's going to make us move?!" She whispered.
Tiffany leaned against Camie and sobbed silently. "Mom's going to make us move?!" She whispered.
"No, your dad won't allow that, okay? We're not going to be split up" Camie wrapped her arms around Tara comfortingly. The words tasted bitter in her mouth.
Tiffany took a few deep breaths, leaning against Camie and crying for a few more minutes before taking a few deep breaths and calming herself. "You think I could sleep over at your house tonight?"
"Are you kidding? Yeah, of course! My mom loves you. You could literally murder me and she would still love you," Camie joked.
Tiffany's frown cracked into a smile. "I'll never do that though."
"Good to know," Camie wiped her brow and sighed with fake relief.
Tiffany laughed again. "Okay, let's go get my stuff."
"Okay then," Camie said, climbing down first this time. "Sorry fireflies," she whispered.
"Stahhpp Cammeh." Tiffany exclaimed as she climbed down.
"Nohhhhh Teefahnehh." came the response from below.
(Lol)
Tiffany's feet hit the grass. "Whhhyyyyy nnnooootttt."
"Because I like to annoy you," Camie chirped innocently
Tiffany rolled her eyes with a laugh. "I know…." She opened the door again and walked in the house.
Camie followed Tiffany into the hallway.
Tiffany opened the door to her room and grabbed her backpack, quickly putting the things she needed into it. Her parents knew that if she disappeared she would be a Camie's house, she and Camie slept over at each others' houses nearly every day. They were practically inseperable. (like Riley and Maya, that's kind of the code in getting from Tiff and Camie)
"Ready?" Camie asked, sitting perched on the edge of Tiffany's bed.
Tiffany nodded. "Let's go. The faster we leave the better." She answered, shouldering her bag after she slipped on a hoodie.
"Okay," Camie lead the way back to the backyard.
Tiffany hopped on her bike when they got back outside and took a deep breath.
"Safe," Camie whispered.
As Tiffany and Camie made their way to Camie's house, Tiffany asked, "What?"
"Huh?" Camie asked, hitching her own backpack up higher.
"I must have been hearing things. Nevermind."
"What did you hear?' Camie asked.
"Nuffin. Don't worry about it." She said as she spotted Camie's house. " I'm pretty sure it was just the wind. "
