"Don't get too h-hooked on them, love. They can hurt your liver if you take a b-bunch," Vien said softly, taking the cup from him and setting it on the counter. "You wanna lay on your b-back so I can put the pain cream on?" he asked, reaching for the jar
Beau nodded and moved onto his back, covering any pained grimaces with small smiles. After a few moments, he managed to move and laid his head on a pillow, hoping that Vien wouldn't ask about the large scar in the center of his back. "I won't get hooked, don't worry," Beau promised as he tilted his head to the side to look at Vien
“Okay,” Vien murmured. He scooted closer to Beau, opening the small jar of pain cream and putting some on his hands. He began to rub it on Beau’s chest gently, careful not to accidentally hurt him
Beau breathed in sharply when Vien pressed down on one of the bruises, but ignored the pain. The ointment seemed to be helping already and he smiled faintly at Vien in gratitude.
Vien looked up at Beau, eyes wide with concern as he stopped for a moment. “I’m not hurting you, am I?” he asked softly. The last thing he wanted to do was make his pain worse
"No, no, I'm alright," Beau answered quickly as he looked up at Vien, hoping that he didn't scare or worry him. "It's okay. It just hurts a little," He added softly, smiling faintly to let Vien know that it was okay.
“Okay,” Vien murmured. He got a bit more of the ointment in his hands, barely even touching the bruises as he rubbed it across Beau’s chest
(Me: Gosh this is cute and so fluffy, I should make Lisbet totally destroy Acadius and head back to the diner)
(Evil Me: Let's kill Lisbet)
(laughs)
(Me: ….Both. Both is good.)
(A writer’s true struggle)
“Okay,” Vien murmured. He got a bit more of the ointment in his hands, barely even touching the bruises as he rubbed it across Beau’s chest
Beau closed his eyes for a few moments as he leaned back against the bed, silence filling the room. "What's the myth of the Argo constellation?" He asked softly after a small pause, referring back to Vien's tattoo and the story his older brother used to tell him.
(Can I join or is it too late?)
“There’s not much t-to it, really,” Vien said, shrugging as he applied the ointment. “Argo was the ship Jason and the A-Argonauts used to sail to Colchis to look for the g-golden fleece,” he murmured. “The constellation is actually three d-different ones, but I have the entire Navis constellation from before they split it.”
"The Argonauts," Beau repeated, the word pricking a memory in his mind, but he couldn't quite remember which one. His mother used to tell him stories too when he couldn't sleep, but he had forgotten most of them. "It sounds like a good story," Beau added softly as he looked back up at Vien sleepily.
(Just a heads up but I’m going to be pretty on and off today)
Vien smiled down at him gently, finishing up with the ointment and setting the jar on the bedside table. “Yeah. Yeah, it’s a g-good story,” he murmured, wiping his hands on a nearby towel before laying down next to Beau
(K. Same with me probably.)
"What should we do? I can't really move and will probably fall asleep once in a while," Beau asked softly, a small smile tilting the corners of his lips up. He moved closer to Vien and wrapped his arms around his waist to tug them closer. "I'm not really useful at the moment now that I think about it."
“You don’t have to be useful to be a-adorable,” Vien mumbled, smiling as he turned to look at Beau. He began pressing gentle kisses to his face, wrapping an arm around his chest as he held Beau close
Beau laughed softly at the kisses, a wide grin spread across his face as he pulled himself closer to Vien. "I love you," He murmured, pressing a soft kiss to Vien's neck as he looked back up at him.
Vien felt his chest fill with a warm, fuzzy feeling at the words. A wide smile spread across his face as he looked at Beau, and he pressed a few more kisses to Beau's face before murmuring "I love you too." He pressed their lips together softly, still smiling as he did so
Beau smiled against Vien's lips as one of his hands ran through their dark hair, the other rubbing his side softly. He closed his eyes, already feeling safe next to Vien. If he could stay next to Vien forever, he would.
Vien let out a soft sigh against Beau's lips, relaxing into his hold happily. He broke away from the kiss, smiling gently at the other boy. "How about you get some rest, and then I'll make l-lunch. Okay?" he suggested softly
"Okay, but I'm going to kiss you later then," Beau answered, laughing softly as a small grin spread across his face. He pressed a soft kiss to Vien's forehead before he turned onto his back, moving slowly so he wouldn't hurt anything again.
“I’d love that,” Vien murmured, pressing a kiss to Beau’s cheek as he wrapped an arm around him gently. He closed his eyes, letting himself doze off happily
