"Uh yeah in that drawer to your left." North said.
Hawkin nodded. He went over and took out a knife that he thought was perfect. "Alright, you're gonna think this is crazy, but watch this…" Hawkin held his hand out and levitated the knife. He spread his fingers out and made the knife explode in a shower of particles. He smiled he moved his hand and the particles responded with his movements. He imagined the parts that he needed, and he made them with the particles of the knife. He made the pieces he needed, and set them back down on the counter. He picked them up, and walked back over to the sink.He hovered his hand over the sink, and seemingly put the parts in the air. He removed his hand, and the parts vanished. "Alright. All fixed. Give it a try North."
"Thanks, do you want anything for this?" He asked walking over and turning on the sink which worked perfectly.
Hawkin smiled. "Nah North. I did explode one of your knives… You owe me nothing. I'm gonna go check on Kaida and Sean. Wanna come?"
"Sure I guess." North said, "And don't worry about the knife I have a lot."
Hawkin just nodded. "Not gonna ask why you have so many knives, but ok. Let's go see Kaida and Sean." Hawkin walked out and headed back to Sean's apartment.
North followed Hawkin to Sean's apartment wondering what he was doing here.
Kaida leaned against the doorframe of Sean's apartment, fidgeting nervously. She looked up when she saw the two coming back. "Everything okay?"
"Did you figure out your sink problem?" (Sorry I kinda vanished)
"Yeah it's working great again." North mumbled, looking at the ground.
"See? I fixed in record time. I only used a knife too. I like to challenge myself. Buut it's hard to look past all the things I see… I see the structures of everything… It gets pretty annoying…" Hawkin mused.
"O-oh, cool," Kaida said, forcing a smile. She backed up a bit. "I do-on't want to bother you g-guys anymore, s-so, so I'll jus-just go back to my apartment now."
North glanced up at Kaida. She reminded him of someone, someone from a long time ago. "Kaida? Have we met?" He asked her, trying to recall her from his memory.
Hawkin gave a sideways glance to North. "How old are you exactly? Since I have Misty, I live in dragon years… I've been around for some time, but you seem like you've been around for ages. I know for a fact shifters have an extended life, but I didn't know for how much longer their life is. You have to at least be over 80?"
North rubbed the back of his neck with his hand. "Er yeah um..i'm 223…" He said, "I age a little slower then..most..people."
"By my dragon, you're ancient North. I'm 82, thanks to Misty, but I'm still really young for you or a dragon for that matter. You've been around since literally when history started to matter. What's your favorite memory?" Hawkin sputtered faster than comprehendable…
"Um I'm not sure, probably all the amazing people i've met. My family, friends.." North smiled, remembering that one day…then frowned, remembering the next.
Hawkin was so excited to hear about the past. He almost missed the frown North showed. He caught it, and decided that it would be best not to ask…
