Kaida flapped her wings in distress, staring at the guy who had collapsed. Her heart rate spiked. "Oh my god, is he okay?" She asked, feeling panic taking over her tiny body. Before she knew it, she had shifted back into human form, falling off of Hawkin's shoulder and crashing to the ground.
North rolled over onto his back, "I'm fine." He said, wincing as he got up. "Just side affects I guess."
Hawkin jumped. "On my dragon, please tell me when you're going to do that Kaida. That scared me out of my wits… Anyway, dude, are you ok? And side affects from what exactly?" As he walked over to the guy getting up off of the floor.
Kaida backed away sheepishly, pushing her glasses up her nose. "Sorry…" She mumbled.
"Yeah yeah i'm fine. Just…" He wanted to get away from all these people surrounding him, as if he wasn't tired enough. North turned around and started to walk back to his apartment. He spied a fly buzzing around his head and took it's form, flying back through his open door.
Hawkin stared. He couldn't help it. "By my dragon, he's a shifter… I have actually never met one… As surprising as that sounds. Oh, Kaida, you're fine. You just startled me. Wait… Are you a shifter too?"
She blinked and looked down at the ground. "Y-yeah. I just can't control it very well."
North shifted back into human form and closed his door laughing. "Never gets old." He muttered walking over to the small kitchen and sticking his mouth under the faucet and turning it on.
"Ah, that's fine. I don't think this surprised me. If I have a moody dragon in my apartment, and snow in my room, I can understand a shifter. I'm a mecha. I can fix anything, and make anything with very limited resources… Also there is the fact that I have a dragon… None of this surprises me. At all. It's very nice to meet all of you. I never caught anybodies name except for Kaida…"
(no we cant let it dieeee)
North fiddled with the faucet on the sink. It wasn't working right or something. He slowly made it over to the door and walked into the hallway were those other people were. "Hey um my sink actually isn't working so…."
(hmm what if I gave Kaida a stutter in human form?)
(sure man have you ever watched the kings speech??)
Hawkin jerked his head back over to the door. "A broken sink. Easy. I can fix that in 2 minutes. Tops. Show me. Oh, uh, please? Misty is teaching me manners…At least I think."
"Yeah it's ok." He muttered, walking back to his apartment. He walked through the door, forgetting that he had turned all the lights off and closed the windows.
Hawkin followed the dude. "Hey, I didn't catch your name. Who are you? Ah. Forgive me. I'm Hawkin. You're apartment is very dark. Sorry. I don't normally judge. I just don't like the dark. It brings back some unfriendly memories…"
"The names North." He said and lazily waved his hand in the air which turned on a couple lights near the kitchen.
Hawkin narrowed his eyes. "So, North, you're a shifter, and have telekinesis? I have to say that's impressive. I only fix things, and make things out of seemingly nothing. Oh, and a dragon. Can't forget him. Anyway, is this the sink?"
North smirked. "I'm not supposed to have telekinesis but ah well and yeah, that's the sink right there." He pointed to it and leaned on the door frame.
Hawkin just nodded. "This sink. It's easy. Do you have a knife? That's all I need."
