Destiny giggled again, splashing a little.
Destiny giggled again, splashing a little.
"Sir?" Simon said warily. "Do you see her too?"
(Oh, hey CA! Your lucky you get lunch early TwT)
"See who?" Eric asked, "Are you talking about that woman who was out in the middle of the lake?"
Destiny lowered her body until just her eyes were showing.
"Yes. Oh, good. I'm not hallucinating." Simon shook his boba cup, listening to the ice rattle.
Destiny snorted, making bubbles float to the surface of the water.
"She was there earlier," Eric pointed to the middle of the lake where Destiny was, "I think she was wearing the most bedazzled clothing I have ever seen"
The siren grunted angrily. 'How dare he!' She thought.
Simon squinted at the girl in the water. "She's staying under there quite long, don't you think?"
She rose just a bit. "Excuse me, but I can stay underwater as long as I want." She said. Her voice was heavenly, not normal for a human girl.
"She went underwater?" Eric asked with some concern, "didn't she leave the lake?"
Destiny growled and grabbed the edge of the boat, hoisting herself up so Eric could see her while revealing her tail to Simon.
Simon stumbled back. "I'm- I- Oh boy. Okay." He pinched his arm. "You're a mermaid?"
Eric turned around to see Destiny on his boat. He panicked and held a spear near her chest.
Destiny hissed, dropping herself back into the water and swimming away.
"Don't kill her!" Simon said, shoving the other boy aside, knocking the spear aside.
"I panicked!" Eric yelled to Simon, "what did you expect me to do? Shake her hand?"
'Damn humans…' Destiny thought.
"Listen," Eric explained to Simon, "what we just saw was unnatural, that is a Siren."
The siren girl hissed again, pausing when she heard Eric speak. 'How does he know I'm a Siren?' She thought.
( @casualassasin @SoldierB )
"You didn't kill me when I talked to you," Simon said irately. Then to the siren, he said, "Do you speak English?"
Destiny poked her head out of the water, nodding.
"Alright then. What's your name?"
