Luno thanked him for helping him up, still grinning a bit dorkily. "But did I do good? Other than slipping and falling," he laughed
"Really good," Baz nodded, chuckling lightly as he led Luno back towards the couches near their lane. "Are you up for a couple more rounds?" He asked, plopping down on the couch and taking a sip from a drink that he had ordered in advance.
Luno nodded as he plopped down on the couch next to him. He looked over at Baz's drink, tilting his head curiously. "What is that?" he asked
"It's a random drink from the bar. Whiskey perhaps?" Baz said, glancing down at the drink with a raised brow, seemingly not even knowing what the drink was himself. "Do you want a sip?" He asked, holding the cup out to Luno.
Luno nodded slowly, taking the cup from him slowly. He had never had alcohol before, at least none of the good kind. When he had lived with a friend next to a club, he had sometimes snuck drinks, but he had no idea what he was grabbing and it just about always tasted bad
Baz leaned forward slightly, handing the cup over towards Luno as he watched the other. He had a minor drinking problem, so the alcohol didn't make him too drowsy yet.
Luno took a small sip, and he made a sort of confused face at the taste. He couldn’t quite decide if he liked the drink or not, so he took another sip to make sure
"Like it?" Baz asked, tilting his head to the side with a light chuckle as he saw Luno make a face at the drink. He had never really liked alcohol either, but it kept his mind off of things.
“I don’t…I don’t know?” Luno said with a confused look. “It doesn’t taste bad, but it doesn’t taste good. It just…tastes.”
"It just tastes," Baz repeated, nodding as if he completely agreed with the statement. One of the workers dropped another drink off at the table and he took a few sips from that one, leaning against the couch as his hazel eyes watched the alley next to them.
Luno decided to keep Baz's old drink, simply because he was thirsty and still couldn't tell if he liked the funny drink or not. He tended to have more of a sweet tooth when it came to alcohol, so he wasn't even sure why he was still drinking it
"Do you want something else?" Baz asked as he looked towards Luno with a curious gaze. He blew through most of his money with alcohol and cigarettes, so buying something for someone else wouldn't hurt, right?
"Do they have anything sweeter?" Luno eventually asked, making a face as he took a final sip of the drink before setting it on the bench beside him. He had eventually decided he didn't particularly care for the drink, so he didn't see why he should keep drinking it
"Here, take a look," Baz answered, leaning over and grabbing a small menu with lists of drinks that the bar near them served. The old bowling alley had been conjoined with the bar a few years ago, though it seemed to help greatly with the money they were making from selling alcoholic beverages. After all, at this point, it seemed that they had both forgotten about the bowling entirely.
Luno nodded and took the menu from him, but not before grabbing his plushie and holding it to his chest. He tilted his head in a curious manner, something he seemed to do often when confused or intrigued. He eventually found something that apparently had strawberries and mangoes in it. "Can I have that one?" he asked before pointing to it on the menu
Baz nodded, glancing over the drink's name before he called a waiter over, telling them the order. He took a sip from his own drink, leaning back against the small couch as he brushed a few long locks of hair out of his face. He honestly needed to cut it at this point, though he had never really gotten to it.
Luno curled up a tad on the bench, holding the plushie close to his chest. He rested his chin on the owl’s head, enjoying cuddling it
"Have you come up with a name for it?" Baz asked, tilting his head towards the owl plushie as if he were motioning towards it. He took yet another sip from his drink, studying the way the bowling alley's lights seemed to reflect off of Luno's white hair and golden eyes.
Luno shook his head. “I don’t know what to name it,” he murmured. “I kind of like Boop. That’s something you name things, right?”
Baz broke out in a rare grin at the sound of the name that Luno was considering. "Boop? It seems like a perfect name for a pet owl," he chuckled, running a hand through his dark hair in order to brush it out of his face.
“I like Boop,” Luno said, a cute, childish grin spreading across his face. “Boop,” he said before booping the owl’s nose
"Boop," Baz repeated, covering his face for a few moments and laughing, sure that his cheeks had taken a pinkish tint on. It must have just been the alcohol, though he felt like it was caused by how adorable Luno seemed to be.
Luno grinned widely, looking much like a small child as he did so. He shuffled closer to Baz, still sporting that precious grin. "Boop," he said before taking one of the owl's arms and booping Baz on the nose with it
Baz looked down at Luno intently with wide hazel eyes, letting out a laugh when the owl booped him on the nose. He was almost sure that his cheeks had flushed further, though it wasn't as noticeable under the neon lights. Why was Luno making him so flustered?
Luno giggled at Baz's expression. "You make funny faces when you're happy," he mumbled. "But they're nice funny faces. I like them," he continued, now hiding a bit behind the owl's head
