He lifted his head to catch a glance of Lovino. “Nah, I’d much rather chill down in here…” I’m not a particular fan of heights anyway…

Lovino nods his head and shifts into a purple Maltese tiger and stretches on the branch “ok.”

Elton shifted into a grey jay, his prefered form and followed after Killian.

Miles chillaxed, putting his hands behind his head and crossing his legs. Although it was a bit cold, it didn’t stop him from taking the time to just unwind— despite that he just woke up.

Lovino starts to fall asleep “gah I need to stay awake….” his voice trails off.

Miles immediately connected the dots from before and felt like a complete ass. “So it turns out I didn’t have to do that…” He grumbled lowly, his face flushing a bit. He folded his arms and laid back. “I swear I’m gonna be the first to die.”

"So long as you aren't captured," Ana responded, tone completely serious, "I think I'd rather die than know what happens to those who are taken away, honestly." It was a strong sentiment, one she knew not many others shared, but one that she held to. She couldn't call the way she lived freedom, but it was far better than imprisonment.
"I couldn't fall asleep that easily," she remarked casually at Lovino's behavior, "I don't think I've really slept well in years." What with sleeping on roofs or in trees or abandoned buildings, how could she?

“You just need to live like me older than you are yet younger then you were.” He states sleepily

Ana's eyebrows furrowed. "So look forward to the future but remember the past?" Her laugh was dry and humorless. "What good is there to look to in either?"
Her siblings had always said she was too cynical. But was this situation not worthy of it?

Miles just stayed how he was, listening. “Yeh, whatever that means. I just live the moment. By sleeping, of course.”

Lovino sighed “you don’t get it it means be older than you are to day yet younger than you should be as in be happy to live another day yet understand that it might be your last.”

Miles broke out into a laugh. “I know I could die any fucking day since I was found out.” He wiggled his foot a little. This kid cracks me up…

Lovino glares at hi “Miles is almost been killed 6 times and I’m only 14 and I’m alomost caught once a year,” he says then adding “I live in constant fear that my family will fine me and kill me and that sucks but I also like being alive and free so the goods and the bads level out.” He states.

"Now, that's the truth." Ana scooted sideways on the branch to lean against the trunk of the tree. "But if escaping your hunters is the only thing that makes you semi-happy, well," the girl pressed the back of her head against the tree and gazed up at the sky through the leaves, "I haven't met a shifter who knows happiness." Including me.

“That’s the thing I’m happy.” His voice trails off “but only because of one reason…” then he adds “I’ll tell only if you want.”

Basil looked at them, "I have to go somewhere." he said then started walking northwest.

Lovino nods and slowly starts to fall asleep.

Miles didn’t really pay attention to what he said. “Have you ever tried being careful? I’ve heard that helps…. But sure. Go right ahead.”

Lovino sighs and nods off forgetting about what he was going to tell them.
