Cora nodded slowly, her mind immediately going to her parents. She knew she had them, sure, she just never met them. She knew she was given up for adoption when she was around 6 or so, so she was never completely sure. She couldn’t really imagine what they looked like in detail, but their voices were what stuck out the most.
Marki watched as she changed into a women. " I don't know if you feel anything , but look!" HE conjured up a mirror with his wand.
Cora’s eyes opened, and they widened in shock. She looked at herself in the mirror, seeing her mother. “H-how?”
"Well that's why it's called Illusions. Now lets try something different." He conjured up a stone. " Now lets start this simple. I want you to make another Illusion of the rock." He explained.
Cora watched the illusion of her mother shatter and vanish. She nodded, biting the inside of her cheek. She did her best to picture a dull, grey stone in her mind, jaw clenched in concentration as the small form began to form on the ground.
Marki nodded with an impassive look. " Very well, might as well end our lesson here. While you're at it sent Jane down and don't forget to practice." He said
Cora nodded, and she turned to leave before remembering a question. “Before I go, is there a place where I could practice my kickboxing?” She asked, arching a brow. “I don’t want to get rusty,” she added quickly.
" Gym to your left, sweet heart." HE waved to the left while he was taking some notes on his clipboard.
Cora nodded and jogged out of the room. She went back to the dorms where she assumed Jane would be.
"Hello, Cora." Jane said, a little depressed.
Cora gave a slight wave, blowing a strand of curly, ginger hair from her face. “Your turn to go practice,” she said, striding over to her bed and putting the gloves on. “Something wrong?”
( You may come down now.)
"Just…. Jemma was really nice. Whenever I came home from school, beat up and tired, she would always be there to talk about it. And I never did. And now she's frozen in time and I can't do anything about it! Jemma might die even." (Jemma is Jane's foster mom)
Cora exhaled hadn’t shrugged. More personal information… “I’m sure she’ll be fine. You should head down now, Marki is waiting.”
"Okay…. well, see you later." Jane mumbled, rushing off.
Cora gave a slight wave, tightening the straps on her wrists.
(By the way, Jane normally mumbles a lot, and talks really quietly. Just general info.)
Castor, unhappy at being called out for being different, had rushed out of the room and wandered the halls. Eventually he had found a grandiose kitchen, and started poking around in the cupboards. Whistling in delight, he started to pull items off the shelves, and figured out how to turn on the stove. Without any further wasted time, he got off to cooking.
Cora eventually made her way down to where Marki said the practice room was. With her hands mostly protected by the gloves, she moved swiftly, taking a sharp punch at a pad that had been set up against a wall.
Jane walked into the room Marki was in. "Y-you wanted t-t-to see me?"
(Guys, I need u to tell me where I are.)
( Oh sorry, right now we are at training so you can wait in your dorm right now.)
(River's doing the same.)
(I am really sorry for not responding sooner! I dislocated my patella (kneecap) last night so I wasn't able to respond until now. Good morning all!)
