(I'm fine with however you want to reply. We said that Sam was going to break into the lab to investigate, correct? I can describe some details of the lab before hand if needed.)
Ava froze up when she heard the name of Markus Evans. The only way she knew that he had applied was because he was the current subject that was being used for the purple Shade. "I don't know the names of everyone that has applied. Perhaps ask the front desk." She said, no emotion in her voice, even though it felt like her head was caught in a hurricane of emotion.
(Q: Is cursing okay?)
(Would Sam investigate the lab just on a whim? What would be her motivation?)
(I am absolutely fine with cursing! And you can have what every motivations. I could send someone to tip her off or I could do something to give her more of a motivation.)
Bullshit.
"Oh, okay! I just thought he applied here, I wasn't sure. He's been trying to look for a job for a while, and I could only hope for the best for him." Sam returned to her bubbly demeanor.
She knows something is up.
"That's fine. I wish him the best of luck in find a new job!" She said cheerfully as she wrapped her arm around Sam. "Is there anything else you want to know? I could give you a tour and even show you some of our new projects." She offered as she lead Sam out of the meeting room.
"I wouldn't mind a tour, if you're alright with that. What projects are you working on, if you mind me asking?" Sam tried not to tense as she expressed interest towards Ava.
"Lots of things! We have been trying the extent of what the two latest elements we have found can do. We actually found out latest one in a underground cavern that had been sealed off from the rest of world because of its underwater entrance." Ava explained as she walked her around the complex.
"Shit! Shit! What do I do? Show her around, have someone tail her after she leaves? I could just lead her to the back and have security throw her out? Give her to Shades?"
"Really?" Sam lit up. Besides writing, Sam had always had an interest in math and science. "What do you know so far?"
(Do you want Ava to lead her to the Shades or do you want Sam to wander off? Maybe she finds some documents and comes back later to investigate further?)
(I'd probably want her to lead her to the Shades (Which one would she get? Purple or yellow?). That way, it'll be slightly different from the movie.)
(Purple and of course. I wasn't expecting it to go like the movie at all. I just got the inspiration off it.)
(Hey, I may or may not have to be admitted to the hospital for mental reasons. I wanted to say that in case I don't respond tomorrow or a few days after.)
(That is completely fine! Take care of yourself, darling! Love you!)
(Good news! Not admitted to the hospital, but I have to be wary around dangerous things when not at home. Would you like me to respond/give you inspiration? I believe I had already responded, but I understand if you want more.)
(No I have just been busy. I'll get it up soon. I had missed a lot of school and I'm trying to make up all the work.)
"I have to admit, not much. But we did find something else in that cavern that was of far more interest than a new element. It could help us do things that could never be done before! It isn't open to the public but I could give you a small sneak peak!" Ava offered.
Well I guess the purple Shade is getting a new host.
"Alright…" Sam was hesitant. Not open to the public? "Is it safe? Are you even sure of its capabilities? If it's not open to the public, I don't feel like it's adequate to barge in and be nosy…"
Only if you knew how dangerous they are.
"It's not open to the public yet because we don't know about all of it's properties. Nothing about it has been dangerous yet." Ava said shaking her head as she unlocked a door with a key card. "Right this way." She said opening the door for Sam.
(God, how to plan her reaction….pffffff)
"Of course. Thank you!" Sam smiled gleefully. "I'll probably just keep away from it nevertheless-even if it has worked and proved safe around animals, that doesn't mean the same for you or for me. I do appreciate the opportunity." Sam walked through the door thrilled, but some part of her was cautious-she didn't know why.
(Screams cause I need to go to bed but I want to type. This is a little reminder for me. Sorry.)
"You don't have to come too near them." Ava lied through her smile. "It's just a marvelous discovery that we have been learning about, though we haven't gathered too much information because of some of the properties of it." She explained as she lead Sam down a flight of stairs before opening another door with her key card.
"So, where all are we going?" Sam tilted her head, looking at Ava in speculation. Something wasn't right… what?
The lights were off as they entered the room. Ava shuffled off to find the lights. When the lights finally flickered to life, the state of the room was horrifying. There was, what looked too be, a doctors office type equipment in two separate rooms which were surrounded with glass. On of the glass walls had cracks in it but it seemed stable. Inside the room there were tables which had people strapped to them, one of the figures being Markus
Sam froze, her hand clenched around her pen. Her hands were shaking, and as much as she wanted to run away, she couldn't take her eyes off the scene.
"I knew it," she whispered between silent tears. "You lied to me. You lied to everyone…"
After a few beats of silence, Sam straightened her posture and wiped her face, now blank.
"Why? You know I will report this, and don't think I don't have a good lawyer, I'll sue you…and…" Sam couldn't stop the tears.
"I know. That is why I can't let you leave." She said, her voice monotone.
Ave picked up the radio on her belt and began to speak into it. "Security. One of the volunteers is getting a bit aggressive. Requesting back up." She asked into the radio. Afterwards she slipped the radio back to her belt.
