Jessica smiled and hurried to the kicthen to get a bowli of cereal and get lucy's milk.

"How can I help?" Nate asked, stepping into the kitchen after Jessica.

Jessica smiled "Go get ready for school " she said and pointed up the stairs.

"But…" Nate whined. He hated school. He hated being forced to sit in a classroom all day. And he wasn't ready to go back now that he was some 'famous popstar.' He wasn't sure how people would react to him and the rest of his band anymore.

Jessica kissed his cheek. "I'll be there with you all day" she said.

"But I don't wanna." Nate whined once more, pouting.

"You don't want me to be with you" Jessica said sounding hearbroken and turned away, she was faking it but she was so convincing she could be an actor.

"No love, you know that's not what I meant." Nate gently turned her around so she was facing him. "I'd rather walk the halls with you than alone." He said and kissed her softly.

Lucy sees her parents kissing above her and cries while kicking the both of them. She was starving and she didn't want to see that.

Jessica smiled into the kiss. "Go get ready for school" she said.

"Awww!" Nate pouted again. "Do I have to?"

"If you do you'll get a reward" Jessica said.

"Then I guess i better get going." Nate laughed and took Lucy upstairs with him so he could keep an eye on her for Jessica.

Jessica playfully rolled her eyes. she then finished making her a bowlo of cereal.

Nate finished getting ready for school and set his backpack and his guitar by the front door before taking Lucy back to the kitchen. "Where does Lucy go while you're at school?" He asked. He didn't know if she went to daycare or if Jessica's mother watched her during the school day.

Jessica smiled "Lucy stays here with my mom all day," she says as she threw her backpack over her shoulder.

"Okay." Nate smiled at Jessica and grabbed his car keys. "Then are you ready to go?" He asked, picking up his guitar and throwing his backpack over his shoulder.

Jessica smiled "As soon as you put Lucy in her crib." Jessica says.

Nate took Lucy upstairs and set her in her crib before going back downstairs to leave for school. He grabbed Jessica's hand and walked to his car to drive to school.

Once Jessica was in Nathan's car she looked out the window into the distance.

Lucy cried the second she heard the door close and the car start. She wailed as loud as possible, not wanting to stay with her grandmother.

It was too late jessica and Nathan were already driving away and jessica's mother came in the nursrey and picked up Lucy.

Once they got to school, Nate helped Jessica out of the car and grabbed her hand once again. He really didn't want to be here. He was afraid of what people would say to him and what they'd think of him now that he was back from the tour.

jessica looked up at Nathan and smiled. She suddenly got picked up by her best friend Dean Hawk jerking her hand away from Nathan's.

Nate felt Jessica's hand leave his and his eyes went wide, suddenly feeling very vulnerable and self-conscious. He looked around quickly and sighed in relief when he realized there weren't much people around yet. They'd arrived at the school pretty early, but he and the rest of the band wanted to meet up in the band room before school started.
