Nate woke up at the sound of Lucy's cries and went to her room. He picked her up out of her crib and began rocking her to calm her down.

Jessica looked at Nate and Frowned and walked downstairs and outside and sat on the porch.

Nate looked up as Jessica walked out of the room. He went to say something to her, but she was already gone by the time he'd seen her.

Jessica sighed.

Lucy relaxed in her fathers arms and gripped the edges of his shirt before falling asleep on his shoulder.

Nate smiled down at Lucy and grabbed onto her tiny hand and held it in his own, marveling at how small she was. Sometimes, he still couldn't believe that he was a father now and that she was such a small baby.

Jessica walked in "hey Nate Can we talk" she asked.

(sorry that I haven't been on either. There's been a lot going on health-wise lately…..but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you!)
"Of course, Jess." Nate smiled at her sadly, still holding onto Lucy. He thought he knew what she was going to say, after all, they had been arguing a lot since he'd gotten home. He was worried that Jessica would want to break up with him and he didn't want to break up, but he would respect her decision as long as he could still see his daughter.

¨Nate I love you so much and I don´t wanna break up but I think it be best if I at least move out.

Nate sighed in relief and set Lucy down to talk with Jessica. "If that's what you believe is best then, by all means, we'll try it. I'd do anything for you, Love." He responded and pulled her into him for a hug before beginning to ramble, "But, where will you go? Back to your mother's? And what about Lucy? Will she stay with you? Or switch between our places?"

¨I will have her stay with you¨ she said ¨For now I´ll get a hotel¨ she said.

Nate smiled softly, "Wait, don't you want Lucy to stay with both her parents? Even if we're not together, she could stay with you for a couple of days and then with me for a couple of days. I mean, I know we'll still spend time with all of us together, but I wasn't sure if maybe you'd want some alone time with her."

¨Nate I spent three months with her¨ she said ¨besides I´ll be with dean¨ she said.

The Next day Jessica was at school with a coffee in her hand her eyes were bloodshot and she had dark circles under her eyes she´d looked like she´d been crying.

As soon as he noticed Jessica, Nate walked up behind her and hugged her, kissing her cheek lightly. "What's wrong love?" he whispered.

Jessica shooke her head ¨Don´t worry about ir¨ she said.

"Well, I'm gonna worry about it either way, but I won't push the subject if you don't want to talk about it." He kissed her cheek again and let go of her to stand next to her instead.

Jessica leaned her head on Nate ¨Hows Lucy¨ she asked.

"She's okay, but she cried a lot after you left last night. I dropped her off at a daycare today to give your mom a break from watching her." He grabbed her hand, intertwining their fingers together.

Jessica sighed leaninng her head on his shoulder.
