Jay blinked, and nodded. "Alright." she looked at Klaus. "Come on, then." she said, gesturing to the door. The empty bunk was next door to hers. She had lived here all her life, but if you had looked in her room, you wouldn't have been able to tell. All her belongings were in a single duffel bag under her bed. She led Klaus out of the room.
As Klaus walked out, he jerked his arms apart aggressively, breaking through the cuffs to free his arms. He dropped them to the ground just outside the doorframe, rubbing his wrists as they walked over to his room.
"Hm. Bland," he said, looking around. "Am I allowed to hang posters or anything?"
Jay laughed softly. "You could, I guess." she replied with a shrug. "It isn't a good idea, though. If it's deemed inappropriate, they'll take it down." she glanced around the room.
Lane giggled when she heard that he was going to be an agent. "Called it!" She exclaimed into the empty air, punching her fist up. Only problem, you aren't with SHIELD and they're probably pissed that you've hacked them. Her brain reminded her, to which she just waved away. "Technicalities."
"Wack," he mumbled, scratching his face. "Why do I feel like I was just sold to slavery instead of offered a job?"
"I mean, that's pretty much what being an agent is." A mechanical voice that resembled Lane's floated out of the bug. "Just ask Rodgers."
Rogers blinked, going still. "Why is your…pocket talking?" she asked slowly, looking at Klaus and trying to ignore the comments. Slavery is…actually very accurate. But is is slavery when legally, I'm not human?
He slipped his hand into the pocket and pulled out the small spider from his pocket. "I can get you arrested, since I didn't give consent."
With that, he crushed the spider into a tiny ball and tossed it across the room, rolling his eyes.
A few smaller tech spiders crawled out of the crushed one. "Technically… Yeah, I don't have a technically." The voice came from the smaller spiders. "Could you refrain from fucking up my tech more, eh?"
"You should refrain from invading my privacy," he said with a sigh. "Please don't make me find you, because I will."
"I'm not that hard to find." The voice sounded like it was shrugging than it coughed. "When you find me, could I examine the symbiote? It's really cool."
Jay crossed her arms, silent as the two talked. "Look, whatever fucker bugged him, could you at least shut up? You shouldn't even be…this is SHIELD, and I highly doubt you have clearance."
"Should we tell the director?" He asked Jay, raising his eyebrow. "It is a security breach, ain't it?"
"Pfft, yeah, definitely don't have clearance. Though dad did, still does? I dunno." She hummed. "I really should work on that part."
Jay hesitated. "If we tell him, we both get in trouble." She replied, eyes flicking to the bots. "Clearance is not hereditary. You earn it, or you don't." She said sternly.
"Oh fun, alrighty. I think I might be a cybercriminal, technically. I prefer the term Anti-hero though." The bots made a small whirring noise. "I'll be right there, hold up a sec."
(I'm going to have her call Fury Uncle Fury and no one can stop me!)
(oookay lol. Are you going to narrate Fury, or would you like me/someone else to?)
"Well, while we wait for….however that was, are we gonna go to the training center?" he asked, rubbing his hands together in anticipation.
Jay nodded. "Yeah, sure. Come on." She started walking. "Try and keep up." She grinned, chuckling softly as she broke into a quick, easy jog.
"No one said we had to run," he huffed, following after her. Every power he had came from the Amity symbiote, so without it, he was just a normal guy.
Jay laughed. "No, but no one said we couldn't!" She replied, slowing down a little bit so that it would be easier for him to keep up.
"MMmmmph," he grumbled, letting out a huff of air as he managed to catch up with her. "Fuckin' supersoldiers."
Jay raised an eyebrow. "And how do you know I am one?" She asked, giving him a strange look.
"Hm?" He looked over at her with a raised eyebrow. "Ya know, you got super powers? And you're a soldier?"
She rubbed her face with a hand. "Supersoldiers are different than soldiers with super powers. Supersoldiers are like…like Captain America. Or the Winter Soldier."
