Cassie clicked her tongue disapprovingly a few times, giving her head a small shake as she finally looked up, her grey eyes scanning the two of them with a piercing gaze. "Your choices come back t' haunt ya if ya ain't careful, girls. But ya don' scare me. Nothin' t' end, not when I don' care."
Taylor grinned and put the same picture on Snapchat with the same caption.
Laura looked up. "Why wouldn't it be?" she asked quietly.
"I don't know," Lillian ran a hand through her hair, "It just isn't."
"Puh-lease," Rachel rolled her eyes disdain evident in her voice, "You say you don't care, and once things turn for the worse you find out you do care. But it's too late. That's how things work with your type."
Laura blushed and looked at the cover of her notebook. Her name as written in small lettering on the lines given.
Taylor lifted her eyes to watch.
"Oh, goodie. Since ya seem t' know so much abou' me, do tell." Cassie set her phone down, fully turning to face them and looking every bit as scary as her reputation told her to be. "Wha's my type?"
"Your the type that acts not to care, and may genuinely not care," Rachel started leaning back in her chair looking Cassie straight in the eyes, "You get into fights and trouble at every turn, using fear as your tactic to get people to keep away from you. But the moment those people aren't scared of you, you lose your power and you get scared. You realize you had to much hard power and not enough soft power, such as mwah. Despite your attempts you can't get that power back and you end up worse off than before. That's your type."
Lloyd watched the interaction, honestly hoping that the girl didn't know enough about him to 'type' him. He was pretty private and secretive, and he didn't have social media or anything. Any dirt Rachel could have on him would likely be false. (Kinda curious how she would type him tho)
(Shy guy who crumbles at the slightest hint of fame. Her way of payback would be to draw negative attention to him by spreading rumors. That's the gist of her typing.)
(P good lol I mean he's freaking out about probably having a lead role in a play and he sort of just wants to hide in the shadows because he has to hide a huge part of his identity)
"Oh, so close, so close." Cassie laughed. Actually laughed, a definitively not friendly and light hearted sound, that involved throwing her head back. "But just a tad bit off. I don' need fear t' get what I want, and power ain't what I'm seekin'." She tilted her head, her smile wickedly sharp. "I don' get scared, and definitely not o' gals like you."
"I never said you sought power," Rachel had an equally wicked grin on, "I'm simply telling you what to expect. Your here because you fucked something up no? I read people better than the person may know."
"Bup bup bup. I'm here because I deigned to be." Cassie said, shrugging a shoulder. "I coulda skipped just as easy. They'd like t' think they hold the cards, so I let 'em every once in a while. Makes it all the more fun when it comes crashin' down. Congrats though. Maybe you could be a carnie."
“Yeah now go,” Rachel pulled her phone back out, “I’m getting tired of looking at your ugly mug. You’re probably the most hideous person in the world. So scram!”
(Lloyd continues being nonconfrontational even though he's like hEy thAt's MeAn)
"Oh, thank the gods." Cassie's grin quickly turned apathetic as she stood, stretching her arms up over her head. Her shirt rose just enough to reveal what were obviously bandages for a split second, before they were gone. "This was getting boring quick. Fun chattin' with ya, Rach." And then she was off, to the very back row of seats to plop down and continue texting.
Taylor smirked. "Nice going." (Does she know about Rachel's power?)
Laura watched Cassie storm off and bit her lip.
(Probably not) Rachel shrugged, “She’ll pay soon enough.”
Lillian watched the whole ordeal and could see the ripples of slight gossip after Rachel used her power to declare Cassie ugly. Lillian didn’t think Cassie was ugly, but it was clear a few people did.
Laura wasn't one of them. "What was that? What did she just do?"
Taylor agreed. "Where's the cast list, dammit?"
“What Rachel always does,” Lillian sighed, “Turn lies to truth.”
Rachel rolled her eyes, “I’m sure it’s coming.”
Laura looked confused. "What do you mean?" I
Taylor sighed. "Yeah. It better be."
Lillian sighed and stood up, "Nevermind."
Rachel looked up at Lillian and Laura, "I'm sure it will. Wanna have some fine?"
Laura but her lip. You're so stupid.
Taylor followed Rachel's gaze and smirked. "Oh, yes."
