She hummed softly, letting the tune carry her into a daydream.
“And now we wait,” he pushed himself up on the counter.
She stared off into space, a sort of dream look in her eyes.

He slunk back to her side but didn’t move his head off of her shoulder. His eyes scanned the poorly painted walls, poorly painted over what the tumor had done when he painted words over his desk with a shaky hand. He looked down as the hand still tremored.
Lillian slowly reached for his tremoring hand. The walls could always use some work, but what happened was something he couldn’t control. She had accepted that and was glad that part of his life was over.
He didn’t see things like that, he saw all the things that stayed with him. Brain damage and a shaking hand to remind him that he was still so broken. He latched onto her hand as best he could as it shook.
Lillian squeezed before she brought,it up and kissed the back of his hand. Yeah he was broken, but so was she. She couldn't think anything of herself and felt useless almost all of the time.
Why do all of you quote so much.
His hand shook so much hat it caused hers to shake as well. He frowned.
(Because if I don't I often get forgotten :) (That and it's easier to keep plots together with quotes.)
Lillian looked up at him smiling though it faded when she saw his frown, "What's wrong babe?"

He just observed her quietly as the smell of garlic filled the air.

They get so long.
“Not a fan of what happened to my hand.” He mumbled.
(I know. I try to shorten mine if possible.)
Lillian sighed and looked down at his hand, "I know, but it's not effecting you too harshly right?"
Her nose twitched like a rabbit, the smell calling her attention but she was too spaced out to really notice.
"No, I do trust you," she replied honestly.
“Well that’s good I suppose.” Cooper sighed and looked over at her, taking her hand gently.
She smiled hopefully. "I love you."
He hesitated before smiling a little. “Yeah… love you too.”
"Is there something wrong?" she asked worriedly. "You look… troubled."

He chuckled and kissed her nose. “You’re adorable,”

“Hmm? Oh no nothings wrong,” he cleared his throat, “Where do you want to go while I’m at Belle’s? My house, your house, or with me?”

Lillian sighed and looked down at his hand, "I know, but it's not effecting you too harshly right?"
“It’s the little things. I can’t really carry anything with it without dropping it,”
"Yeah," Lillian sighed, "You know it may go away someday?"
Her nose twitched like a rabbit, the smell calling her attention but she was too spaced out to really notice.
He chuckled and kissed her nose. “You’re adorable,”
She snapped out of her daydreaming and smiled. "What makes you say that?"
“Hmm? Oh no nothings wrong,” he cleared his throat, “Where do you want to go while I’m at Belle’s? My house, your house, or with me?”
"You never said if you wanted me to come or not. I won't come if you don't want me there…"
“And I don’t want you to be forced to stay alone if you don’t want to which is why I was leaving the option for you.”

He chuckled and kissed her nose. “You’re adorable,”
She snapped out of her daydreaming and smiled. "What makes you say that?"
“You just are,” he shrugged.
She rolled her eyes with a smile. "Whatever you say, sugar."
“And I don’t want you to be forced to stay alone if you don’t want to which is why I was leaving the option for you.”
"And I don't want you to be uncomfortable which is why I was leaving the option for you," she replied smoothly.
