"I have a few rules I would like to share with you all," he told them, pulling a piece of paper out of his pocket.

Vien rolled his eyes, sitting back down with a huff. He went to take a sip of his milk, but a sly smile began to cross his face. As Moraphe spoke, he willed a Santa hat to appear above his head, resisting the urge to grin at the starry hat
Beau leaned against the table, watching the man as a misty, starry hat appeared on top of his head. He tried to stifle a laugh and not snort his milk out as he glanced away towards Vien, knowing that it was his doing.
He cleared his throat, then glanced at the children bashfully. "I had to write it down, otherwise I would have left something out." He cleared his throat again.
House Rules
Students must be in the grand hall by 9:00 am
Students must not use their powers against each other, unless in supervised combat
For your safety, please stay within the mansion unless you have been given permision to go outside
If you break something, please tell me right away (I won't be angry)
Be gracious towards each other
Just so you know:
Everyone has a key to their room, but I (Moraphe) have a master key
If you have any troubles, please feel free to speak with me
"All right. Is that clear for everyone?"
“Grand hall by nine? What are you, I-insane?!” Vien exclaimed indignantly. Just to spite him, he changed the floating hat to a pair of stumpy devil horns as he scowled
"Pardon?" Moraphe asked, confused. "How is that insane?"
Ajax laughed watching the hat change.
Raven laughed slightly as she watched the hat change.
Cammie sunk down in her chair. She knew no one here and she wanted to go home.
Abiliene looked at Cammie. She gave what she hoped was an encouraging smile.
Meanwhile, Vivian began to drift asleep.
"What are you all laughing at?" His lips twitched, and he looked like he would start laughing with them.
"You have horns on your head, sir," Abiliene said.
Cammie looked at the hat, but remained depressed. How was it liked to be taken from your home, from your only family, because the government thought you were dangerous? It was horrible and she really missed her dad. She fixed her eyes on the ground.
“Try looking in the m-mirror sometime,” Vien snickered, a devious grin across his face as he added a starry demon tail to the mix. He took another sip of his milk, nor even bothering to cover his smile
Jax snickered at them.
She couldn't help but smile and tried to cover it.

Beau glanced over at Vien, a small grin spreading across his face as he turned back towards the man. He was tempted to use his own powers, but he stopped short, already knowing some of the consequences when he couldn't control them. "Not bad, kid." He mumbled, tilting his head to the side as he looked back at Vien.
Moraphe glanced up, and began laughing when he saw what was up.
(No pun intended X)
"How about this, then; will it please you if I say you can pull whatever pranks you want on me?" he chuckled, referring to his earlier question. "So long as the pranks aren't dangerous, of course.
"Aw, no danger?" Beau called out, pouting faintly as he leaned forward on his elbows and rested his chin on the palm of his hand. "We come here to have a little danger."
“I can live with that,” Vien chuckled, propping his feet up on the table as he changed the horns back to a Santa hat. But this time he added a large, starry beard that went almost all the way to the old man’s chest
"Excuse me." She said softly and walked out of the dining area. She saw her backpack and took it. Im going home, dad.
"I'm sure you do. But I'm thinking not only of my own safety –" he gestured towards the table, "– but of your safety, as well."
Nevermind the damn rules. She thought to herself as she was determined and opened the doors to the mansion.
