"Only the bad ones do!" Aizen said.
"Only the bad ones do!" Aizen said.
"So you're definitely what they were looking for at the cafe," He said, annoyed. "I didn't even get to drink my coffee."
"Where are we going?"
Brella looked at Zix, holding back a smirk, "You must be from one of the rim sector worlds."
"It wasn't me. One of the freed had gotten a job there!" Aizen said. "I was visiting."
"Normal humans don't grow blades from their wrists."
"You need to be more careful," Mitchell warned. "And you probably have a tracking device on you somewhere."
"Or suddenly grow a foot taller."
"That was removed during my time in the Ghetto, a while after we escaped." Aizen said, remembering his fight with one of ConTech's failed experiments, that had been dumped out into the Ghetto.
"Then how could they've found you?"
"I don't know!" Aizen said. "Probably this!" He turned, showing them the tattoo on the back of his neck.
"The guard was behind me. Remember, he probably saw it!"
"You idiot!" Mitchell snapped. "Get that removed!"
Brella listened to their conversation, utterly confused beyond belief. She had only been aware of ConTech's existance mere days before she had come planet-side.
She decided to butt in, "Hey, um, boys? Maybe we should do this somewhere a bit more… private. I have a ship in the starport, if we wanna head that way?"
"Can't you have it removed? Or wear something over it?"
"What species are you?"
"I did!" Aizen whined. "It was branded on, then tattooed on. What you're seeing is a scar of what used to be there!"
Mitchell looked around. "Yeah, we should probably go. If we walk for a couple of minutes and take a few turns, we'll end up near East Castro. The guards won't expect to find us there."
"I may be able to regenerate, but something like this is permanent skin damage!"
(It was actually genetically remodified to be a marking on Aizen's skin, but he doesn't know that!)
"Sounds good to me."
Aizen followed them as they went.
"You could always brand something over it. Or grow your hair long. Or, I don't know, just cover it?!?"
"You could graph skin over it."
"I've only been in this city a week! I don't have too much money to buy weapons, clothes, or even food, let alone a brand!" Aizen huffed. "Besides, Yaeger knows most of us by our faces! It's a miracle he didn't discover me the minute he walked in!" He looked around.
"Uh guys," Zix said quietly, pulling out her gun. "There's somebody following us."
Aizen centered his spikes, ready to fire them. He got into cover.
