"No idea." Lloyd shrugged. He spotted Jelleh in the corner, but said nothing. "He's worried about his brother, I think." (Lloyd's an angel, so he'd be able to see her)

"Oh." I said sympathetically. "I hope that nothing is wrong." I looked towards the door where Carter had left the room as a frown crossed my face. I looked back at Lloyd, "I'll be back in a minute." I said standing up. I smiled at Lloyd and left the room looking for Carter. I have a plan to maybe help him feel better. "This will work." I whispered to myself.
Carter walked into the living room and hung his coat up with a huff. He turned to pick up the newspaper that he had left on the floor, and his stomache made a sickening lurch when he saw the headline again.
"Alright then." Humans are so fickle, aren't they? Here one moment, the next having decided to do something completely different. He flipped open the book again, scanning the words he had read so many times before.
I walked into the living room to see Carter looking at the newspaper. Maybe that's where it talks about his brother? My original plan was to give him a hug but I decided against it. I walk up to him and force a smile. "Whatcha reading?" I ask trying to sound lighthearted.
I decide to go back to Carter's room, she saw the other person, still invisible no waved at him, telling dumb.

Carter jumped at the sound of her voice. He quickly closed the newspaper and put it down on the counter before turning around. "Nothing important," he said a little too quickly. He internally winced. He knew he still looked like a mess, he didn't need to act like one too.
(M is not a necessary number)
I gave him a confused look, "Are you alright?" I asked. "I know I haven't known you for long but you seem off today." I say as my gaze drifts to the newspaper lying on the counter top. I snap back to reality and look at him again. "I uh, I heard something about you having a brother." I say looking at the ground, feeling suddenly awkward. "I would love to talk about him if you want." I say a little more sheepish. I don't want to push but I still want to help.
"There's nothing to talk about." Carter snapped. "Yes, I have a brother. I don't need to talk about him though. And really, no one in this apartment is 'alright'. I suggest not trying to fix us, either." He grabbed his phone from the counter and stormed off towards his room, slamming the door shut once he was inside. He glared at Lloyd, but didn't say anything.
(Btw, Carter's not trying to be mean, this is just his personality. He can be rude/cool/snappy, but he can be nice in his own special way if you get to know him or if he trusts you)
She turned back to where Cater was, she looked at his newspaper. He wasn't there, she took it and read it. There WAS something important.
She turned back to where Cater was, she looked at his newspaper. She breathed in his neck and read the news, she was right. There Was something important.
(What do you mean by "she breathed in his neck"??? Also, I thought she had been in the room with Dwayne)
(Sorry, it was supposed to be 'she went back to Carter')
(And she breathed in his neck, that is exactly what I meant)
(And she breathed in his neck, that is exactly what I meant)
(You… You can't breathe in someone's neck. That's literally impossible unless Carter had some giant cut on the back of his neck or he was missing his head. To breath in someone's neck is to breathe inside it. Also, if you meant "breathed down his neck", that still doesn't make sense because Carter left the room)

('breathed on his neck)

(I followed him to where he is now and left, came back then)

(Okay, but like I said, Carter left the room, if she's breathing on his neck she would have to be following him, and she can't be following him and looking at the newspaper at the same time)
(She looked over his shoulder so breathed in his shoulder, how bout she found him?)
(She looked over his shoulder so breathed in his shoulder, how bout she found him?)
(She found who where? Also, so let me get this straight. She snuck up on him while he was picking the newspaper up from the floor? Because she was in her room when he was actually reading it, and he had just picked it up and talked to Edlin after putting in down this time, so how was she reading it over his shoulder if he wasn't reading it?)

(Ohhh, nvm then)

Lloyd flinched a bit at the glare and looked away. He's irritated again, best leave him to his own devices… He turned the page of his book and drew his knees up to his chest. He always felt safer when he was curled up in a ball.

Carter sat down on his bed, fighting the urge to yell at someone or to cry. He looked down at his phone after typing in the password angrily. He had one new message from an unknown number, and when he read it his eyes widened and he dropped it like the phone like it was on fire. It landed on the floor screen-up, the only thing on the screen was the text. It was their address.
(Wait can Jelleh secretly work for Carter's brother)
