(It's fine)
(Wait hold on did Abigail Dara delete their account??)
(Topaz?)
(I think it's Abigail that deleted.)
(Do we have to follow the posting order? Because if someone's not on and others are then it kind of blocks the rp from happening, and it's also kind of confusing)
(True. I'm back btw :D)
(Sure. We'll just try to keep everyone in the loop :D Meow started so if anyone wants to respond, go ahead.)
(Cool)
Lloyd lay silently on the couch, reading his massive Sherlock book for the umpteenth time. This was a very normal activity for him, and he could usually be found doing this here or in his room if he was feeling particularly aloof.
(I'm thinking that this apartment can be in Long Beach California and Edlin is just now moving in. And, btw, I write in first person.)
It was a little chilly as I stood by the door of the airport waiting for my flight. I'm heading to Long Beach, California to move into an apartment…with roommates. It's not the most ideal situation but it's the best I can do right now. I've been standing here for 45 minutes waiting. I keep myself from going to sit down because I want to get on the plane as fast as possible. I really am excited to be moving there. My mind filled with thoughts of what I would do in California. It's a lot different from Michigan.
My thoughts were interrupted by a voice over the intercom. "Flight 127 to California boarding now." Next thing I know, I'm on a plane and preparing for liftoff.
(Next time I write she will arrive at the apartment.)
Carter walked into the living room, eyeing Lloyd. He snapped his fingers in front of his face, interupting his reading. "That new girl, Edlin, she's moving into the apartment soon." He plucked the book out of Lloyd's hands. "I suggest actually making an attempt to appear normal before she meets you."
Lloyd jumped a bit, startled by Carter's sudden appearance. He inhaled sharply when Carter took the book, irritated but too awkward to ask for it back. He was going to ask how he wasn't normal, but it was pretty self explanatory. "I know I'm not normal, but I look normal, don't I?" He reached for the book.
Carter pulled it out of reach. "To an outsider, maybe."
Lloyd shifted his wings under his hoodie and crossed his arms, annoyed. "Well, how do you suggest I be 'normal'?"
"Maybe start with not wearing a hoodie you haven't washed in a while?" Carter suggested, flipping idly through the book.
That might be a small problem. Do I have another hoodie that hides my wings? Well, they can't know you're an angel. Lloyd cleared his throat. "Okay, and?"
"If you want fashion advice, ask another time. I'm going out," Carter replied, choosing not to noticed the look Lloyd had had on his face a few moments ago. It looked like he was.. worried. He set the book down on the table, and walked away towards the kitchen to get the keys.
"No, what else do I do to be normal? What even is the standard for normal? Is anyone truly normal?" Lloyd picked up the book. (gtg for a few hours)
(alright)
Carter rolled his eyes. "If she comes in while I'm gone, call me, alright?"
"Sure." Lloyd stood up and went to his and Carter's room. He could read in there while Carter was gone. He changed into another hoodie and lay on his bed, flipping the book back open.
She had been waiting forever and no one comes.
"Please return your seats to an upright position and prepare for landing."
The plane lands and everyone gets off. It takes about an hour for me to get out of the airport with my luggage and into a cab. The drive to the apartment consisted fully of small talk with the driver interrupted by him, occasionally, singing parts of songs on the radio and saying each one was his favorite song. "We're here." He said with a smile. I handed him the money I owed him and told him to keep any change. "I'll probably see you another day." I say with a smile and turn towards the apartment building. It's a nice looking place and I have a very good feeling about what will happen. I walk in and click the number 4 button on the elevator. 4B. 4B. 4B. I think to myself. I walk to the door and set my bag down. I straighten my dress which is green with a halter top neckline and a flared out skirt that reaches my knees. I reach up and adjust my hair which is half up half down to show off the purple underside. I grab my bag and my suitcase and reach for the doorknob. This is the start of my new life.
Lloyd heard a knock on the door. That must be the new girl… what was her name? Edin? No, Edlin. Okay…. normal… be normal. He opened the door, taking care that his wings were hidden. "Er, h-hello." Stop stuttering like an idiot. I'm nervous! Just go away. "My name is Lloyd Saxon Windsor, and I assume you're Edlin?"
(I don't wanna deal with Carter being at the store so I'm just going to say he gets back around now)
(Doesn't Drucilla Phenix need to get inside, though?)
