"So, did you enjoy clubbing?" Vixie smirked, brushing some dust off her shirt.
"So, did you enjoy clubbing?" Vixie smirked, brushing some dust off her shirt.
"Obviously, I was the one who recommended it." Leon said with a smirk.
"What about the… 'after party'?"
"It was fun." He said as he held the door open for Vixie.
"Just fun? Guess I'll have to try harder, then." She smiled and left the room, grabbing a glass of champagne from a server before they left.
"You don't have to, trust me." He said as he followed her.
"Mm." Vixie finished the champagne and put the empty glass on another worker's tray. "Guess we're heading back home, then?"
"Unless you have something else in mind."
"Nothing in particular. We really should get back to Charlie, though."
"We probably should. Let's go." Leon walked out of the bar and to the cottage.
Vixie nodded and followed, looking around as they walked home. When they got there, she could hear Charlie yipping in the backyard. She went in and he jumped on her. "Hi, buddy! Hope you were okay all by yourself."
Leon followed her into the backyard.
Charlie licked Vixie's hands before turning to Leon, barking happily.
"Hey!" He said as he petted Charlie.
"I think he likes you." Vixie smiled softly, petting the puppy.
"He likes both of us."
"He's very sweet, that's for sure." Vixie untied Charlie and carried him inside.
"And he's the cutest." Leon followed Vixie inside.
"Definitely. I'm glad we found him." She hugged Charlie and set him down on the couch.
"I'm glad we found him also." Leon sat down on the couch and hugged Charlie.
"So…" Vixie started breathlessly. "What now? We certainly had an eventful night."
"Very eventful. What do you want to do?"
"We could watch another movie, cook… we could even just take Charlie for a walk. And we never did have that dinner on the hill."
"Oh right, we could do that tonight if you want."
"Sure. We can take Charlie out and then we can do the dinner. Or lunch, maybe." Vixie clicked the leash onto Charlie's collar.
