Hans gave his daughter a light squeeze. "Dinner will arrive in about half an hour, I ordered pizza. Hope you don't mind, I'm a terrible cook."

Sabine laughed. "I don't mind, I love pizza." The old twinkle that she had lost at the fair suddenly returned to her eyes. She felt content here. Relaxed. Safe.
Hans grinned broadly. "Perfect. Feel free to go outside, by the way. Macha turned to her friend. "Come, Iwant to show you something!"
(Hans has a German accent btw, and is Macha's adoptive father)
Sabine smiled. "Lead the way hermana."
(M'kay.)
The two girls ran off, rounding a corner into a short hallway with Macha's room on the end. Hans smiled wistfully. He was glad that Macha was making more friends.
Sabine followed Macha to her room.
@TopazWyrmlet~ ur turn, Fae : ) ))
He played along, and kept a very calm demeanor in feeble hopes it would help her panic lower. "Yeah. I like Lord of the Rings." He spoke. "I used to be obsessed with Harry Potter when I was younger,"
(Sorry! The page changed and I forgot to check! I’ve been gone long sorry, I went for a party and I’m going out again now)
Fae nodded, doing her best to smile along and ignore the memories flooding her. “I like the classics, Jules Verne, Charles Dickens, Mark Twain. From contemporary authors I like Sarah Dessen and John Green. The Book Theif is a personal favourite.”
Sabine followed Macha to her room.
Macha flopped down on the mattress that served as her bed, whistling. An adorable, gorgeous cross between an owl and a clay dragon came bounding over nuzzling her.
He nodded, "Nice,"
Brb cooking brownies )
(Have fun)
(I gtg too)
Fae leaned back against the seat, trying to relax. Her fists were clenched tightly in her lap, and her breathing was strained, but the sound of Cruz’s voice brought her some solace.
"I've never been to a salon before. They're gonna give me weird looks." He snickered, "I'm going to regret this,"
Fae parted her lips to chuckle, but choked on the laugh as the car hit a speed bump, making her whole body go rigid. She relaxed quickly, grinning. “No you won’t.”
"Have you seen my feet!? They make bunyons look cute," he insisted.
Fae burst into laughter, real laughter this time. “You’re scaring me!”, she joked, tension easing slightly.
His grin just widened more and more, "A tortoise would feel good about his feet after seeing mine." He continued, finding her bright laughter like a mellifluous drug.
( how does fae die again? )
(Well, in my original story she trains herself for months so she can finally fly, since her wings were undersized, but on her first flight with Macha the R.A.C. finds them and cuts off her wings mid-air, and she breaks her neck on the long way down)
Cruz’s infectious glee stole into her, putting her frazzled nerves to rest. She scrunched up her whole face. “Eww Cruz! Stop!”, she giggled.
He laughed brightly, "I'm just saying the truth!" His cheeks adopted a healthy hue of genuine happiness.

“It’s not exactly the best thing to tell your girlfriend!”, she joked, eyes lighting up.

"I thought you loved me no matter what," he teased back, turning the vehicle into the parking lot.
