She clasped her hands around his back, taking deep breaths. "You know, maybe we should actually swim.", she humoured softly.

"But this is so nice.." he hummed.

She agreed, lifting herhead to look at him. Running a hand through his thick chestnut locks, she bit her lip shyly.

"Ohh." He groaned, averting his eyes and laughing. "Don't do that." He grinned. Cruz scratched his nose, "The lip thing,"

She hadn't done it on purpose, but she decided to go with it. "Why?", she teased.

She did it again just to tease him, smirking while her heart pounded.

He covered his eyes, groaned, and let himself fall dramaticlaly backwards into the shallow water.

Cruz had seemingly forgotten she had her arms wrapped around him, and she yelped as she landed on top of him in the water, blushing fiercly.

He burst into laughter, inhaling a bunch of water meanwhile.

Fae rolled of of him and into the water, spluttering.

He sat up quickly, coughing out freshwater and laughing.

Fae stayed floating on her back, cheeks red.

He inhaled deeply when he had his breath, "I love you,"

She held on to his hand so she wouldn’t drift farther out. “Those may just be my favourite words.”

"I'm not far off, then.." he gleamed.

She beamed up at him, her hair floating around her face.

He smiled widely.

“Race you to those rocks?” She pointed to some rocks in the water a little farther out.

"Sure," he smickered.

“3,2,1, go!”

He launched off in a breastroke towards the rocks.

He was much faster see than her, but she didn’t let that bother her. She surged forward, latching onto his ankle and letting him pull her along.

Of course he faltered at first, but caught his stability and kept gpoing.
